The biggest night of the year and the end of this whole shebang is almost upon us. The Final of Eurovision Song Contest 2015 is TONIGHT and if you are not yet excited for it there's something seriously wrong with you girl.

Each of the two Semi Finals saw 10 songs advance to the Grand Final where they were joined by the 7 autoqualifiers and now we have 27 songs competing for Conchita's crown.

Despite the second half being overflooded with ballads this contest is set to be amazing. Slovenia will open the show and Italy, the current 3rd favourites to win in a 4 horse race, are closing it. Sweden, who are first on that list are performing right next to Conchita's slot from last year. Maybe the organisers/fate are trying to tell us something? ;o Another favourite, Belgium, is performing 13th. Going on after Australia might be a risk but surely being before the host country's 24th-place-at-best entry is a good thing. Russia are performing third to last, i.e. mere minutes before the end of the show and at the exact position of last year's runner ups. So none of the current favourites to win have exactly bad draws, as per usual. It's going to be an exciting event.

But before we start getting all overexcited let's remember our fallen friends and particularly

. I will never forgive you for that Europe! A minute of silence now please.

...

Okay enough of the sad times, show must go on etc. So yeah get yourselves ready and we'll meet back here in 10 hours.

I hope Spain finishes at least in the top 10 again. Edurne, the song and the performance should be the winner IMO but it's not going to happen... I'll be happy if Belgium or Italy win anyway :) Russia and Sweden are so overrated.
I'm hoping for a really close run contest tonight, I'm talking 2003 levels of closeness. I realise I'm probably never going to get that but one can dream. I think it's Sweden v. Russia again and both songs are incredibly worthy of the win. I'd like Israel to shock top 10 as well, but I fear the draw will see the end of that.

I was going to make that joke, Jahcqueline!
Can see Serbia doing very well, might put a bet on them to be a shock 5th place.

A couple of others have competed in their national selections; Markus Riva (Latvia 2014) and Mariette Hansson (Sweden 2015). Whilst we also find some national final presenters in the list; Loukas Hamatsos (Cyprus), Barbara Schöneberger (Germany), Csilla Tatár (Hungary), Margrethe Røed (Norway) and Maja Nikolić (Serbia).

Anyone see any patterns that could indicate a jury win for someone?

I have no ideas other than Iceland and Norway being in the last three voters to possibly seal the Swedish victory.

But I wouldn't read too much into it this year because if Australia are going to be up there, they're too much of a wildcard as in I wouldn't know where their highest points are coming from.

That was my first thought as well after seeing that. Could have possibly been an Italy jury win, meaning a close contest with Italy leading before they vote and then Sweden pipping them to the post?

Sweden would appear to be the winners based on that, Cyprus are quite favourable to them as well.

Sweden is hugely overrated this year so I'm hoping it doesn't win,Serbia for a shock win,but I'm going with Russia will sneak the win,I think Italy won't do as well as expected,I am getting more and more if a sense that ye guys over in the uk will do OK if performed well with a good vocal. I'm rooting for Serbia to finish at least top 5 and I rewatched some of the semis last night and the 2nd half of the monengro song is so catchy,I put a bet on it for it to make the top 10,great odds so if they make the top 10 I'm quids in.

Belgium I can't make my mind up on,Estonia nothing special for me and Israel is catchy, have doubt's if its catchy enough to go top 10 but iI put a bet on that it will and likewise with Georgia.

Montenegro, Malta, Greece, Portugal, Romania and Albania all being on near the start suggests an early lead for Italy before Sweden overtake them towards the end. The last three plus Israel, Lithuania, Netherlands and the UK are all quite likely to favour Sweden.
But before we start getting all overexcited let's remember our fallen friends and particularly

Best performance of the semis :snif:

Going to be very much behind Norway (and as they won't win, then Italy or Spain or Russia or literally ANYONE other than Sweden winning) tonight, but if that running order does favour Sweden I should probably really start preparing to accept it.

Don't think Serbia will do that well at all, actually, it'll do okay but this hype does feel a bit hollow.

Kristen and Helena revealing votes

Nigella Lawson though  Gosh when it seemed like things couldn't get worse for us this week, we had that ukelele embarrassment on Thursday and now Nigella revealing results
