That'd mean 25 acts will need to cancel their performances

The Daily Star are running with this story on their front page!

I'm more concerned with the LAUGHABLE attempt at statistician work that the second half of that Mirror article segways into.

Country that has competed once is the 'most likely' to award us points? Luxembourg apparently still in? Montenegro strangely showing a dislike for our shit 21st century entries? Amateurs.

Very excited for this tonight, of course! Will be tuning in and watching intensely~

Lol at the "possibility" of us winning because some of the other acts have been hit with illness. It's not gonna happen.

the favourites to win could sing totally off key and lose their voice and they'd still finish a lot higher than the UK.

"crippling acts" and an image of Monika below. REALLY tactful and f***ing classy, guys.

"It seems the people of Montenegro bear a long-standing disinterest when it comes to UK music because the only other country to have awarded the UK an average score of zero in the Eurovision Song Contest is Serbia and Montenegro - which has now split into separate nations."

Doesn't really matter that S&M only participated in the bitch TWICE.

The whole "article" is based on statistics of voting and the idea that countries vote for just countries and nothing else.

Idiot, the person who wrote this. But I guess there is nothing substantial to write about when you send a shitty song that you delusionally hoped would've at least got some attention but people in fact do not care.

Pav, please don't take ANY of our national newspapers with any pinch of seriousness, we don't ourselves.

That's the Mirror for you! Total joke, this is symbolic as an article. What even. So basically Mans and Guy are ill, that somehow THROWS OFF the other 24 as well and the UK storm to victory?! I can't.
Ordered a Chinese ready for tonight's show, hyped. 9th contest in a row of watching the live final now (Verka and Scooch though, what a debut contest to watch *.*). Rooting for Slovenia and Belgium, although I still haven't even heard all of the songs yet so hopefully a few surprise favourites tonight also.

Scooch *_*

I didn't actually start watching Eurovision until 2011 (and I only watched like half of that)

That voting order does suggest a Måns victory more than an Italian or a Russian one. The parts of the soviet bloc too far up Russia's arse to have joined the EU yet are all up quite early which would suggest that it's going to start well and come top 5 but not win.

Norway will 12 point Sweden so that should guarantee us a win.

Oh god I'm already nervous. Sweden cannot be beaten by an inferior song again. We can't have a repeat of 2011. It's too soon.

I started watching when Brotherhood Of Man won, yes I'm old, :( And on the same night we got robbed, somebody broke through the bog window upstairs while we were watching the Eurovision, a night I rather forget. :(

Tonight I will be voting for Montenegro, Armenia and Estonia.

The running order is hardly setting Sweden winning in stone. It definitely makes it likely that the juries preferred it to both Russia and Italy who have their friends on quite early, but it doesn't rule out Australia at all (I'd be willing to bet the western European nations will be a lot more interested in "woo Australia" than the eastern ones, too).

I'm gonna say Sweden won the jury vote, but it could be Australia or Italy too (Italy's neighbours aren't generally located at the end, no, but it does gravitate to the west in general). I think all it says for sure is Russia probably didn't win, so I'm gonna say the jury vote is 1. Sweden 2. Italy (because it's Italy) 3. Australia 4. Russia.
