The legend... http://33.media.tumblr.com/3cd6bf4e1c6ab98ac90cf94a28103c26/tumblr_nqwtf96sYx1ua2s6wo2_500.gif Week Ending: July 5, 2015 Last Week's chart Dyl Spray: What is up, Buzzjack! It's gonna be a wild ride as Cody passes the mic to me, Dylan Sprayberry! Where the show is inspired by me, and dedicated to me. Because it's my birthday!!! JuM7hObGjWI Now, I'm gonna be taking you on a trip through the top 50 songs plus a few extras. If you missed what happened last week, here's how it went: 1.) (1.) (14) Galantis - Runaway (U & I) *2 weeks @ #1* 2.) (2.) (6) Zedd & Jon Bellion - Beautiful Now *1 week @ #1* 3.) (4.) (9) Major Lazer & DJ Snake w/MØ - Lean On It was another good week for Galantis as "Runaway (U & I)" took the top spot last week. This week, however, we got amazing new debuts from Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez, a look into what might be the most hyped BJSC entry for Cor Lupus, and the top two being all new for the first time since May. And we got a new format that's gonna make this look "berry, berry beautiful". So why don't we get this started, shall we?
July 3, 201510 yr Author 50.) Dr. Kucho! & Gregor Salto f/Ane Brun - "Can't Stop Playing (Makes Me High)"[Oliver Heldens Remix] Last Week: 33 Non-album single Chart Run: 41-38-33-28-26-18-17-18-20-20-33-50... (11 weeks) KSrOYPQiyFA The biggest dropper once again for a second week in a row. This became a second top 20 for Oliver Heldens, his first remix, while being the first for the other three artists involved. It seemed to have done well in the UK despite some weak pre-order sales at first. It was a giant dance tycoon when it first debuted on the chart in May, but sadly it looks like its time might be up.
July 3, 201510 yr Author http://static.djbooth.net/pics-tracks/jidenna-classicman.jpg 49.) Jidenna f/Roman GianArthur - "Classic Man" Last Week: #50 2nd Single, Wonderland Presents: The Eephus Chart Run: 50-49... (2 weeks) nsiN0W15w0U It debuted last week, but I guess a little bit goes a long way as it only rises one spot up to #49. This is the first EVER :jameela: chart entry for both artists. Jidenna is part of the latest collaboration album, Wonderland Presents: The Eephus with another giant R&B tycoon and fellow collaborator, Janelle Monae. It'll be out on August 14 in the U.S., so keep your eyes peeled.
July 3, 201510 yr Author 48.) Avicii - "Waiting For Love" Last Week: #49 3rd Single, Stories Chart Run: 49-48... (2 weeks) cHHLHGNpCSA Next up is another song that only moves up one place: Avicii's "Waiting For Love". Co-produced by Martin Garrix and featuring vocals from Simon Aldred, this was released as the third single from his upcoming album, following "The Days" and #24 peaker "The Nights". Garrix's influence is really shown here, and the lyrics match any Teen Wolf fan - Mondays leave them broken.
July 3, 201510 yr Author 47.) Natalie La Rose f/Fetty Wap - "Around The World Debut 2nd Single, TBA Chart Run: 47... (1 week) L5OAuijpuBQ Next up is the first of three debuts: Natalie La Rrrrrose charts with a follow-up to #1 smash "Somebody" called "Around The World" with featured rapper Fetty Wap. Natalie has been doing very well for herself, supporting Fifth Harmony in the Reflection tour and receiving a top 10 on Billboard. Can this live up to the hype? Sounds like it.
July 3, 201510 yr Author http://cdn02.cdn.justjaredjr.com/wp-content/uploads/headlines/2015/05/sammi-sanchez-talk-single-snippet.jpg 46.) Sammi Sanchez - "Talk" Last Week: #46 Non-album single Chart Run: 49-49-46-46... (4 weeks) n7bK7dmKWZ4 Radio Disney has done well for her to get this far into the chart: Sammi Sanchez stays put at #46 with her latest single, "Talk". The video features fellow Teen Wolf co-star Cody Saintgnue, who plays Brett Talbot. That's... kind of a big deal, considering the show has had other people star in music videos.
July 3, 201510 yr Author 45.) Wiz Khalifa f/Charlie Puth - "See You Again" Last Week: #32 Soundtrack single, Furious 7 Chart Run: 42-29-2-3-4-9-13-15-21-24-32-45... (12 weeks) RgKAFK5djSk Probably our most emotional song in the countdown, here's Wiz Khalifa with YouTuber Charlie Puth in "See You Again", from the movie Furious 7. This was made as a tribute to the late Paul Walker, as the franchise retires his character from action. Makes me cry just thinking about it.
July 3, 201510 yr Author http://images.rapgenius.com/d307a15e719f6c05733c1d2f1979dab9.500x500x1.jpg 44.) Deorro f/Chris Brown - "Five More Hours" Last Week: #41 Non-album Single Chart Run: Chart Run: 29-7-6-5-6-3-1-5-11-15-19-25-30-33-37-41-41-44.. (18 weeks) j3CaHeakZF4 Here's another former #1 :jameela: Now Chris Brown had been chatting a lot higher with his features, and this was no exception, getting him his first #1 here and a #4 in the UK, which isn't bad for a rework.
July 3, 201510 yr Author Now here we come to the first on the verge song of the show: On The Verge: Zeds Dead f/Memorecks - "Collapse" Non-album Single PznTpt71ZOs Currently on the verge of a first charter is Zeds Dead with a rework of his single, "Collapse" featuring Memorecks. This is turning out to be a huge smash in Canada, so we'll see how it does here.
July 3, 201510 yr Author 43.) Zedd f/Selena Gomez - "I Want You To Know" Last Week: #40 Lead Single, True Colors Chart Run: Chart Run: 1-3-1-3-2-3-2-3-7-9-13-16-24-26-31-35-39-40-43... (19 weeks) X46t8ZFqUB4 Up right now is another former #1. Zedd has been doing very well this era, scoring two #1's including this song with ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez. That's right: since the last chart show, the two have gone their separate ways, he released his album, and the song peaked in the 11-20 range in the UK. Slightly better than how he fared in the US.
July 3, 201510 yr Author 42.) Carly Rae Jepsen - "I Really Like You" Last Week: #37 Lead Single, E•MO•TION Chart Run: 2-2-1-3-4-4-6-5-10-13-17-20-24-27-29-37-42... (18 weeks) qV5lzRHrGeg I guess the chart really really really really really really likes this song, because it sticks around for another week despite flopping in the U.S.! Being a smash everywhere else really helps with the longevity of the song. Hope the album does well for her.
July 3, 201510 yr Author 41.) Zedd f/Bahari - "Addicted To A Memory" Last Week: #31 Promo Single, True Colors Chart Run: 46-19-15-11-10-14-13-19-23-31-41... (11 weeks) KY6YlwL0-U8 The one promo single of the chart, and with probably many more to come from this guy considering all the songs from the True Colors Experience are eligible to chart. This has become one of the biggest promo singles not to be released as a single, only surpassed by "New Romantics". This certainly had just as much longevity.
July 3, 201510 yr Author The Chart So Far: 41.) (31.) (11) Zedd & Bahari - Addicted To A Memory 42.) (37.) (18) Carly Rae Jepsen - I Really Like You *1 week @ #1* 43.) (40.) (19) Zedd & Selena Gomez - I Want You To Know *2 weeks @ #1* 44.) (41.) (18) Deorro & Chris Brown - Five More Hours *1 week @ #1* 45.) (32.) (12) Wiz Khalifa & Charlie Puth - See You Again 46.) (46.) (4) Sammi Sanchez - Talk 47.) NEW (1) Natalie La Rose & Fetty Wap - Around The World 48.) (49.) (2) Avicii - Waiting For Love 49.) (50.) (2) Jidenna & Ronan GianArthur - Classic Man 50.) (33.) (11) Dr. Kucho! & Gregor Salto w/Ane Brun - Can't Stop Playing (Makes Me High) *Biggest Dropper*
July 3, 201510 yr Author 40.) Lost Frequencies - "Are You With Me?" Last Week: #45 Non-album Single Chart Run: 45-40-... (02 weeks) VjHMDlAPMUw This rework of a 2012 Easton Corbin song moves up 5 spots to #40, their first top 40. It's laid back and relaxing, which is probably why the UK wanted to release it. Now it's starting to pick up traction in North America, and hopefully the U.S. will see the country connection and let this do well.
July 3, 201510 yr Author 39.) Disclosure f/Gregory Porter - "Holding On" Last Week: #42 2nd Single, Caracal Chart Run: 50-45-42-39-... (04 weeks) VjHMDlAPMUw Right now is the latest Disclosure single (their second charter overall), "Holding On", with guest vocalist Gregory Porter. This is basically classic Disclosure and an amazing attempt to return to the top of the charts the way they did with "Latch".
July 3, 201510 yr Author http://cdn02.cdn.justjaredjr.com/wp-content/uploads/headlines/2015/04/max-schneider-gibberish-video.jpg 38.) MAX f/Hoodie Allen - "Gibberish" Last Week: #43 Non-album Single Chart Run: 50-46-45-43-38-... (05 weeks) s2_YDtKmsVA Up next is singer and actor Max Schneider, known artistically as MAX, with his latest single "Gibberish" featuring rapper Hoodie Allen. With some pretty slick bars from the latter and a smooth performance from Max, it's no doubt that this really rose to some new heights. Hopefully he can keep this momentum going.
July 3, 201510 yr Author 37.) Kendall K - "Wear Em Out" Last Week: #29 Non-album Single Chart Run: 41-15-10-5-6-11-15-17-17-21-29-37... (12 weeks) Z3FOwSZTOzs Coming up next is Dance Moms star who can now add singer to her list of references: Kendall Vertes, known here as Kendall K, with the surprisingly camp anthem "Wear Em Out". She became the youngest act to reach the top 5 at 13 years old back in May, but I guess we'll have to wait and see whether or not other Dance Moms singles appear on the chart.
July 3, 201510 yr Author http://images.shazam.com/coverart/t227121085-i968771507_s400.jpg 36.) Conor Maynard - "Talking About" Last Week: #35 Lead Single, TBA Chart Run: 1-3-2-1-2-5-7-3-7-11-15-18-19-23-26-30-35-36... (18 weeks) nrWJNCHCEdk Back when "Royalty" was released, it was revealed that Conor was the only artist to reach #1 with every single entry of his. Sadly this didn't perform too well in the UK charts. Shaaaaaame UK. The longevity is real here though, so that's a nice compensation.
July 3, 201510 yr Author 35.) Dash Berlin & John Dalhbäck f/Bullysongs - "Never Let You Go" Last Week: #39 3rd Single, We Are Chart Run: 47-39-35... (03 weeks) 9ZCC8q_ZOuQ Up next is Dash Berlin's second top 40 entry, and on track to being their biggest single on this chart, "Never Let You Go". This progressive house track proves that generic dance can still bode well with the public. I think I may know one other person who likes this...
July 3, 201510 yr Author 34.) Hilary Duff - "Sparks" Last Week: #22 Lead Single, Breathe In, Breathe Out Chart Run: 40-36-33-29-24-23-22-22-20-22-23-22-34.. (13 weeks) dpPXpHx9jO4 Playing right now is the sexy single from Hilary Duff's latest album Breathe In, Breathe Out, "Sparks". The album itself is a #1 album here, and songs like this really amplify the quality of this album. Looks like being a single mom in her late 20's and looking so good really makes a song pop.
