Avicii only 90 sales ahead of #6 :nocheer:

He better have something real special brewing on Stories if he wants to leap his hype up (and it better not be another Dear Boy, in the sense that it was not picked as a single. Would have done very well in the chart I imagine. Amazing track :music:  )

Avicii set to miss the top 5 then, what a disaster.

I just hope it can hold up well like 'The Nights' did, but that was an OA/OS release so its #6 peak isn't as bad as 'Waiting For Love's probable #6 peak.

I had Waiting For Love down as a potential No.1 a few weeks ago, I underestimated how tired of Avicii's sound people seem to be getting.

I do think it's his best song in a while but I feel like I'd have loved it far more if it had been released in 2013, it's getting a bit samey now.

I know we were all expecting top 3 for Avicii but I'd say #6 isn't that bad at all considering most people seem to be considering it one of his weaker efforts. It's far from a disaster to me.

I guess I'm just disappointed because I find it one of his best songs to date (8 weeks and counting at #1 on my personal chart), was really hoping it would be the song that makes him massive in the chart again :(
Ed Sheeran will regain his crown for the best selling album of the year to date.

I hope not. We don't need last years best-seller to become this years best-seller. This just shows how stale the album chart is. Re-introduce compilations into the albums chart to prevent this from happening

I don't think the winter Now album being the year's biggest seller by default because of Xmas gift buying would be any better.

Putting compilations back into the album chart would make things even WORSE. Who wants Now albums to be #1 most of the year?

The last time a NOW album would have become the years best-seller if the compilation chart never existed would have been 2013. NOW 86, 85 and 84 were the top 3 albums of the year overall whereas the best-selling album that year (Midnight Memories) would have been 4th overall. If not re-introducing compilations to the album chart, OCC could do a brand new combined album chart or include compilations into the album sales chart

And I just realised should have a top 40 update (without sales) from MW around tea time this evening after 5:45pm.

Are you STILL harping on about this?! :manson:

Waiting for love is miles better than his last single. Shame this might not make top5.
I do think #6 for Avicii is pretty poor, considering it was pushed back numerous times, and quite a few were predicting it beating out Little Mix/climbing to #1 the following week. I'm not all that surprised though, it's quite a weak effort. In fact, the more I hear it, the more I actively dislike it, which is odd as 'The Nights' had the opposite effect for me.

Lol if WFL peaks lower than The Nights

Whatever #7 is I hope it's not too close to #6 on sales :please:
