Anyone else at the stage where you're stressed throughout the whole episode yet? All I can seem to think is "Wow I feel awful for how stressed they are" and "die Ian, die".

I especially like Paul this episode.

After the first two challenges, I was sure Ian was on his way. He was clearly trailing the other three and, to add to my certainty, a piece in yesterday's Guardian had something about the other three, but not Ian. Still, at least he didn't get a comment along the lines of "If you're going to make macarons, make them properly". That was a real OUCH moment.
Glad to see Flora out, have never taken to her. Can't stand Ian either but he was the lesser of two evils. Nadiya star baker again, queen

Nadiya star baker 3 times now. Now officially the strongest baker in there, if we're looking at stats! *.* Has anyone gone from last on technical to star baker though? :o Frances in the final came 3rd and Ryan from season 3 so I guess it's not THAT rare of an occurrence oops.

Her comment about making a souffle: "I'd rather have another baby!" I. FUCKING. DIED!

Flora or Ian to go next plz don't care, just need Tamal and Nadiya in that Top 3 together.

Called it. Again.

Tamal vs Nadiya vs Ian in the final. May the best Nadiya win.

At least Flora can have the distinction of being the first ever baker to finish 1st in the technical challenge and get eliminated in the same week!

NADIYA MUST WIN.

not been watching this but someone showed me tamal and know I know he's gay and from Manchester I'm gonna make if my mission to track him downnnnnn #soggypowerbottom

I watched this in the SU and the hundreds of people there all cheered as loud as possible for nadiya, it was so beautiful

So so happy for her, my favourite since day 1 pretty much  this never happens to me.

Nadiya was clearly in front after the first two challenges, but I still thought it was possible that Tamal might have sneaked ahead with his showstopper.

Overall. a great end to the series. Now wait for the Mail to denounce it all as a politically correct fix.

That sums up the success of the programme so well. Who'd have thought that a large group of students would gather round the television to watch three people indulge in competitive cake-making?

Oh that was just a wonderful end to a slightly disappointing series. I wanted Tamal to win (he's adorable, hot and great at the baking too, which helps) but Nadiya was a very very close second. So glad smug old Ian was a clear third (not that they do such things) in the end. I couldn't have dealt with him winning.

Mary choking up as she talked about her winning actually got me a little teary too (oops), it was just such a lovely moment and seeing Nadiya and Tamal clearly getting on brilliantly was also lovely.

I know, was such an emotional final, I didn't think I'd become that way over baking! </3 Great winner, managed to be extremely likeable and her 'journey' (hate that word) was convincing as she grew from quite middle ground baker to genuinely the strongest there. I didn't doubt that she'd win at all in the final, she was consistently great throughout (though all their showstoppers looked incredible).

Wonderful series overall, and now for the complete opposite next week with The Apprentice :D
