I do not see a contradiction there, as I know there are people who still consider homosexuality a sin (mostly religious types), and clearly *they* would not be bothered by it.

It's better to speak for yourself rather than assume the opinions of others. You're the one who is posting about why people may apparently think it's okay and continued to do so despite it being clear that members were finding it offensive - and you're doing it in a way that tries to distance yourself from the content you are posting so you don't assume responsibility for the nonsense you are spouting. I'm not inclined to tolerate any form of posting that tries to make any excuse for allowing any sort of hate speech or racist/homophobic attitudes.
