And to think I was half hoping for something dance and summery in the vein of Sigala.

This is all sounding like DMGP/Lithuanian NF rejects.

This one is no good, average ballad.

oh god this is all so MOR ;_;

bianca is the best so far. i liked the first one and it had very passable coldplay-esque production so it might be fine in the end too.

If you ask me,

Song 1 // Joe and Jake - You're Not Alone 7/10

Song 2 // Bianca - Shine A Little Light 5.5/10

Song 3 // Dulcima - When You Go 2.5/10

Song 4 // Matthew James - A Better Man 4/10

Where is Gina G?

That's really dull and dated, sounds like a Westlife track from 2000 and I doubt it would escape the bottom five.
Joe and Jake are easily the best so far. If neither of the other two songs are any good then we should pick that and be happy with a 14th-17th place finish.

Yep definitely! If Brinck can come 13th I don't see why Joe and Jake couldn't get something similar and I think that would be a sign of moving forward (even if the BBC wouldn't and panic again like they did last year).

It started off quite well with the first two, even if they seem like fairly standard Eurovision entries from a few years ago. The second two have not been good though.

quite a surprise to see Bianca from Parade pop up - my flatmate used to work with them (and still does with Jessica), ah the memories! she was always the best singer in the group so wouldn't mind her being our entrant if nothing better pops up in the last two.

A Better Man was Swedish-written it seems!

brinck happened like 7 years ago tho. hard to predict this one

Song 5 // Darline - Until Tomorrow

So the concept of high quality entries is basically singer-songwriter MOR rejects?

This is very Emma Stevens, would fit onto her albums perfectly. I think it's too twee for Eurovision but it would make it onto my iPod!

The BBC say this is written by Martine McCutcheon's husband - that claim to fame!
unless they have kept the killer track towards the very end, i doubt 2016 will be the turning point for the UK at Eurovision :')
I wouldn't send this to Eurovision but I do really like it, it's very The Rua/The Corrs/The Shires etc...but maybe just a 'good album track'.

Karl should be the last one as he's leaked it on his website, unless it is just very elaborate trolling. There's a Swedish producer involved if true!
