Posted September 5, 20159 yr It would appear Jess is gearing up to release her new single *.* hopefully back to slay more than ever, she seems to be one of the very few local acts who charts well in Australia without being an international star!! She uploaded this preview with a caption saying "5 days 💙💙" - so this could hit us on September 10 :o No more into just yet, but I'm sure mortal faves and their weaves are not safe! Beautiful was absolutely perfect and is one of my top 10 albums of all time, not a single track below an 8/10 on the standard edition tbh, I cannot wait for new music  https://twitter.com/jessicamauboy/status/639969203617820672
September 10, 20159 yr Just watched the live stream thru facebook of Jess at their headquarters she so sweet and polite. single called 'This Ain't Love' available tomorrow she sang bits of it and also played bits on her phone its sounds really good and an uptempo number, album will be out next year she described it as different and experimental for her. she also has a fragrance coming out end of October called Be Beautiful
September 10, 20159 yr Author It's out NOW on iTunes, Spotify and Apple Music *.* It's VERY remiscent of Changing by Sigma for me, but with pop sensibilities such as some twangy guitars in places. HUGE chorus, god I LOVE it <3 It definitely is different for her, but still feels natural, which is a great direction to be going in.
September 11, 20159 yr Loving this on first listen, it is very Sigma/Rudimental - if it was one of them featuring Jessica, there's no doubt it would be a UK hit! Sounds perfect for summer which of course is perfect timing in Australia. :D
September 11, 20159 yr Author you'd say that to anything she released -_- tasteless tbh. Anyway, only just top 30 on iTunes... I think CIGAM for example was top 10 at this point. However, To The End Of The Earth only peaked at #21 as a lead and Get 'Em Girls at #19 so her luck with lead singles isn't the best, meanwhile Never Be The Same was one of her biggest hits and that was post album. Australians are rarely kind to local acts though, unless they have hits in the US first like Sia.... Jess, like Guy Sebastian is probably lucky to have vague success at all  Such inconsistency, the singles run from Beautiful was 21-2-46-6-5-41 :drama:
September 11, 20159 yr This is flawless. Well obviously, this is Jess M we're dealing with here. I did my bit this morning and downloaded from iTunes Aus
September 11, 20159 yr Anyway, only just top 30 on iTunes... I think CIGAM for example was top 10 at this point. I think Can I Get A Moment was hovering in the top 30 initially and it was only after she performed it on X Factor that it shot into the top 10, so this is doing about as well as that for now, but probably will faceplant if it doesn't get some promo or a discount. Haven't heard it yet but hope it's as good as CIGAM!
September 11, 20159 yr Author Oh, I could have sworn CIGAM got higher than that initially, not necessarily a bad sign yet then although she doesn't' have XF this time as the live shows won't start until late October at the earliest I'd imagine. Btw, I only just read that David Sneddon co-wrote this  omg.
September 11, 20159 yr He's turned into a surprisingly good songwriter recently! His recent offerings for Lana Del Rey, Hurts etc are a world away from 'I can't believe that you'd pull on a sleeve when you cry'
September 11, 20159 yr Author Oh actually they're ploughing through X Factor Aus and the live shows start end of Sept, I've just read, so she could be ok for a performance still as they seem to love her :D Fingers crossed, give it a couple of weeks to make a paltry #38 debut or something then climb a bit thanks to XF.
October 1, 20159 yr afGpIdl6fVM I was initially disappointed when I saw it was a video filmed in a studio as it sounds like a big summer anthem that needs a fun outdoors summer video (like 'Changing' I guess) but as the video went on it is very unique and quirky and definitely makes a simple studio video very interesting. Reminds me of a video Girls Aloud might have put out, it feels like a bit of a mix between the Sound of the Underground, No Good Advice and Biology videos. This is definitely challenging to become my favourite Jess song anyway, definitely up there with 'Sea of Flags', 'Inescapable' and 'Pop A Bottle'!
October 1, 20159 yr Author #7 on iTunes now, X Factor performance did it the world of good! Hopefully it can peak top 20. Both Get 'Em Girls (#19) and To The End Of The Earth (#21) opened the eras around that area, tnen fingers crossed for a bigger hit post album. This is definitely challenging to become my favourite Jess song anyway, definitely up there with 'Sea of Flags', 'Inescapable' and 'Pop A Bottle'! http://cdn2.teen.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Simon-Cowell-WTF.gif
October 2, 20159 yr The video is a bit boring, but I like the multiple Jessica's though. I hope that single 2 is better though as this is very average. So far this has only reached #41 which is the same as the 6th single from Beautiful got to. Hopefully after X Factor it will reach higher. The song seems to have sold it self though as while vocally good the staging was so basic for her performance.
October 2, 20159 yr Been obsessed with this over the last couple of weeks, such a fantastic song
October 4, 20159 yr Going for a Delta style strange chart run then 41-75-8 so far. Edited October 4, 20159 yr by Martyn
