Yeah so do I. But I'd rather have them as a 4 track EP rather than buy the album again.

I'm hoping I'll find them on itunes or something long before it comes out in the UK.

As much as I like the between album projects:

Storms in Africa Part II

Book of Days (English Far and Away)

Paint the sky with stars

Lord of the Rings tracks

....it just kind of delays the next album. I'd rather she just got on with writing and recording the next album. Five years is a long wait each time.

Just heard the new tracks.....Christmas Secrets is my favourite. Absolutely beautiful. Very like Paint the sky with stars but even better.

Ooh cool where did you hear them Ben?

Hmm people selling it on eBay have now announced that only 40 copies were sent to each Target store. And it was definately a Target-only release. <_<

I guess Limewire will have to do for me then. ^_^ When they appear.

A friend of mine emailed the tracks to me.

Not keen on The Magic of the Night....messy production, a bit cluttered. Quite similar to Long Long Journey.

My favourite is Christmas Secrets - absolutely beautiful. Very reminiscent of Paint the sky with stars.

Adestes fideles is ok but I thought they could have done more layering with it.

I loathe We wish you a merry Christmas. Dreadful. When there are so many beautiful Christmas songs out there, God knows why they picked that one. The verses that go on about "Figgy Pudding" and "We won't go until we get some" make me cringe to high heaven. Awful.

I have heard them. :cheer: Well all but WWYAMC.

I adore them, especially Magic of the Night! :o It is truly amazing.

Christmas Secrets is very good too, I wouldn't say it compares to other songs of this sort by her though, such as S Fagaim Mo Bhaile and Exile.

Adeste Fideles is really nice too, nice to have such a good traditional song on there!

I can't stop listening now. Especially Magic of the Night.
Christmas Secrets is definitely my favourite. I think The Magic of the Night is a confused mess with terrible school girl lyrics.

Thanks again Ben.

My faves in order...

1. The Magic of the Night - I think this is simply amazing. Has a lovely Christmas feel to it too. ^_^ Really nice song.

2. We Wish You a Merry Christmas - I really like this! :o I think Enya has made a really good job of it.

3. Adeste Fideles - Lovely song, this a hymn too isn't it?

4. Christmas Secrets - Not too keen tbh. I never liked PTSWS much either, and I find this quite similar.

5. Amid the Falling Snow - Not one of my faves from Amarantine, and it's overplayed now anyway.

6. Oiche Chuin - Isn't this like the tenth time it's been re-issued one way or another?! Nice song, but I'm fed up of it now.

Well the EP is only out in the USA, and the only way you'll get them on a CD here by the looks of it is if you buy the Amarantine Special Edition for about £25 or something.

So if you want em, PM me.

Ugh..I wish I had my copy right now..I need to hear them. lol

Don't the Target stores near you sell them? :( Unlucky.

Anyone else got opinions on these new songs then? ^_^ They should be released on the Xmas edition of Amarantine released this year. See the other thread for more details on that. :P

I didn't get to one until today when we went out of town..now I have it. I'll have to share what I think when I hear it. :)

Hey, I know all about not having any good stores to buy music at. The only place within a hundred miles that has a moderate selection of music is the local WalMart. But if I lived anywhere near a Barns And Noble I would be constantly broke, so that's probably a good thing. :P
