Posted September 16, 20159 yr 1970s Wildcard Round In the final Ultimate Top 40, 41 classic tracks will be eligible. We've already decided most of the Top 40 but which tracks undeservedly failed to reach the UK Top 40 at all during the 70s? For this round, nominate (as many or as few as you like) singles which peaked outside the Top 40 (41-75) during the decade. (Of course, the Top 75 wasn't in existence until 1978, so it's 41-50 until then). After that, the Wildcard Rate will take place, and we'll throw in another contender for the Ultimate 70s Top 40. The only rule is that your nominated tracks must have reached the Top 75 within the 70s. So no album tracks please. (If a track didn't chart in its own right but appeared on an EP which did, then please specify) At the top of my head: New Muzik - Straight Lines Hot Chocolate - Rumours T-Rex - Laser Love Darts - Can't Get Enough Of Your Love Marianne Faithfull - The Ballad Of Lucy Jordan Good luck!
