Posted September 22, 200618 yr Unsurpisingly ex Blue member Duncan James has been dropped by his record label. Most debut singles from ex band members do well however, his debut single 'Sooner Or Later' flopped and charted at number 35. His album then flopped and completely missed the top 40. His label then told him that his next single was make or break for him and that if it didn't get top 20 then he would be dropped so his second single 'Can't Stop A River' recieved a fair bit more promotion than 'Sooner Or Later' however, this also flopped and again missed the top 40 so after spending a few weeks reviewing his situation, Innocent Records has now decided to drop Duncan James. No other label is likely to take him on due to his dismal flop at attempting a successful solo career. He didn't help himself by just before releasing his album, slagging off the rest of Blue and hillariously insisting that he would be the most successful. Lol how wrong his was. September 22, 200618 yr I don't understand how the vile I Believe My Heart was #2  No loss really -_-
September 23, 200618 yr i did think he would have had a little more success but with the way his material charted it was obvious this would happen, hasnt lee ryan been dropped too??
September 23, 200618 yr Apparently the Lee dropped story was quashed by his label and it was just The Sun being The Sun. Duncan's attempt at a solo career was all a bit pointless, but I don't remember him slagging off the rest of Blue.
September 23, 200618 yr Author Apparently the Lee dropped story was quashed by his label and it was just The Sun being The Sun. Duncan's attempt at a solo career was all a bit pointless, but I don't remember him slagging off the rest of Blue. well he did slag them off and in the end he's got what he deserved - a flop solo career. I think that Lee Ryan may have actually been dropped and also unfortunately, Anthony Costa has been dropped after his album charted at 308 with barely anyone actually knowing it was out. In my opinion 'A Beautiful Thing' should have been released to promote the album. I think that it could have got top 20 and charted a bit higher than 'Do You Ever Think Of Me' Simon Webbe is releasing his new single 'Coming Around Again' in November.
September 23, 200618 yr No big loss, the songs he released weren't any good to be honest. I only liked Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe from the ex-Blue members' solo material.
September 24, 200618 yr Author When did he slag off the rest of blue? just before his debut single 'Sooner Or Later' the massive selling number 35 hit was released lol
September 25, 200618 yr Will anyone care or even notice? depends if he turns up on this morning as their new reporter or not
