December 24, 20159 yr The Italian Job  Or The Snowman and The Snowdog if that qualifies as a film
December 28, 20159 yr - Star Wars: The Force Awakens - Four Christmases - Employee Of The Month - Monty Python: Life Of Brian - Yentl Easy winner, Star Wars 7 was absolutely epic  Four Christmases was hilarious as ever, the first half of Employee Of The Month was really good- need to watch the rest of it, Life Of Brian was surprisingly fantastic and so funny and Yentl was ok but a bit too slow for my liking. I'm sure I watched something else but can't remember what it was! I'm about to watch Hot Pursuit
December 28, 20159 yr Author Yep, think Star Wars will top my list next week too. Purely epic as you say
December 31, 20159 yr Author Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) Daddy's Home (2015) In the Heart of the Sea (2015) Big Hero 6 (2015) The Interview (2015) Can't beat a great story, action and emotion and finding out what happened to all of our favourite characters. Daddy's Home was very funny and even watched it twice. ITHOTS was boring for the majority but had some good action moments. Big Hero 6 was fantastic, so much COOLNESS on screen *-* The Interview had some good moments but only really laughed out loud twice which is less than The Night Before.
December 31, 20159 yr Snoopy & Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie In The Heart Of The Sea Hot Pursuit Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind Vacation The Man From U.N.C.L.E Song Of The Sea The Gift Probably Aloha will edit at the end of the week with my opinions and any other movies I've watched but I've watched so many this week I'll start forgetting what I watched if I don't post this
December 31, 20159 yr How do people find the time/money/motivation to watch so many films :0 Fave - Rocky V ..and thats the only one I've watched this week
December 31, 20159 yr Author Snoopy & Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie In The Heart Of The Sea Hot Pursuit Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind Vacation The Man From U.N.C.L.E Song Of The Sea will edit at the end of the week with my opinions and any other movies I've watched but I've watched so many this week I'll start forgetting what I watched if I don't post this  I want to watch Hot Pursuit just out of interest but not gonna rent it for money so will wait for it on Sky Movies or something - sounds terrible though!
December 31, 20159 yr Belle & Sebastian (2013): Quite good Belle & Sebastian 2: The Adventure Continues (2015): A bit slow in places, but it was better than its predecessor From Russia With Love (1963): Great film, despite me feeling sleepy whilst watching it My Best Friend's Wedding (1997): Really great film, it was a joy watching it. My favourite: My Best Friend's Wedding (1997)
January 2, 20169 yr I want to watch Hot Pursuit just out of interest but not gonna rent it for money so will wait for it on Sky Movies or something - sounds terrible though! It's pretty bad but so enjoyable and fun at the same time  Would recommend it but wouldn't pay much for it!
January 9, 20169 yr Author In the Heart of the Sea (2015) Big Hero 6 (2015) The Interview (2015) Playing It Cool (2015) Enemy (2015) Star Wars: A New Hope (1977) Chappie (2015) Bad Neighbours (2014) Wild (2015) Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day (2014) Whiplash (2015) Mulan II (2004) Joy (2015) Birdman (2015) Lucy (2014) Mean Girls (2004) Had a very busy week this week. Big Hero 6 was Disney magic through and through. Some great comedies, Alexander had me laughing quite a bit, Bad Neighbours is now one of my favourite comedies ever with some great leads and watching Mean Girls for the first time, I can understand why it's so popular. Lucy was very entertaining - short but sweet. Same for Whiplash which was very thrilling. Chappie was also very sweet but with good blockbuster moments too. Wild was boring, should have chopped off a fair bit, In the Heart of the Sea was really boring too outside of the whale attacks and Enemy was just plain confusing. Playing It Cool was a pretty bad rom-com too despite Chris being a likeable lead. Edited January 9, 20169 yr by Josh Josh Binks
January 9, 20169 yr Author You normally do so well </3 One standout performance for sure but such a LONG story with only a few light moments or anything really actually happening and I knocked off an extra half mark for Laura Dern doing nothing and being in two scenes with a couple one second flashbacks and being Oscar nominated for it?!?
January 9, 20169 yr Omg no Josh at that Wild comment  Easily top 3 for 2015 UK releases for me :( Playing It Cool is also good, albiet not that good. However completely agree on the other two, off the top of my head they are the two worst movies of 2015! (well the one I completely attacked definitely is and I'm pretty sure Enemy is in 2nd at the moment) :puke2: Actually just checked and Enemy can be 3rd as I forgot Mortdecai existed :puke2: Yay for Mean Girls Love though *.*
January 18, 20169 yr The Face Of An Angel A Little Chaos Fruitvale Station Clouds Of Sils Maria Room Face Of An Angel is just horrific, easily one of the worst of 2015. A Little Chaos was great and Kate Winslet was fantastic as usual. Fruitvale Station was such a powerful movie with incredible performances and was really sad. Clouds Of Sils Maria was also incredible with 3 powerhouse performances from Kristen Stewart, Juliette Binoche & Chloe Grace-Moretz. And finally Room was my favourite this week, such an incredible movie and will do a proper review at some point in that movies thread
January 18, 20169 yr Author Last weeks one cause I missed it Creed (2016) Foxcatcher (2015) Ricki and the Flash (2015) Get Hard (2015) Woman in Gold (2015) The Danish Girl (2016) Dope (2015) Room (2016) Run All Night (2015) Room is just the perfect package, so emotional and some great acting so had to be my favourite. Similarly The Danish Girl had some great acting too and another really touching story, one of my favourite dramas of Oscars season so a bit sad to aee the film itself included in none of the big categories. Dope was disappointing, not sure why it got such good reviews really. Run All Night was fun basically Taken 4. Get Hard was really funny, probably the hardest I've laughed at a comedy this year in places but quite a few jokes didn't land too.
January 26, 20169 yr Author 45 Years (2015) Amy (2015) Straight Outta Compton (2015) The Revenant (2015) Brave (2012) 45 Years was perhaps the most boring film I've ever seen. Amy was really beautiful and insightful, the good reviews are well deserved for sure. I didn't think SOC would be my thing at all but it was really enthralling and opened my eyes into the eventful lives of a very famous band I'd not even heard of before. The Revenant was fantastic in parts but too long for sure. Brave was good but compared to some Pixar greats, lacked a bit overall even though I quite enjoyed the storyline.
January 28, 20169 yr Dirty Grandpa Creed The Big Short Our Brand Is Crisis Don't care for the 6% score on Rotten Tomatoes, I see Dirty Grandpa being one of my favourite comedies of the year, very tempted to go and see it again on Sunday (between seeing that a second time or The 33 or Youth for the first time). The humour just hit the spot for me and had a great cast. Creed was very solid, not one I'd re-watch but easy to sit through once and not be wondering how much is left, some great performances and presents boxing in a better light than Southpaw imo (thanks to the lead character). The Big Short was very boring, I'm a fan of some of the cast (Rafe Spall, Hamish Linklater) but I couldn't get behind any of the characters at all and a fair amount of dialogue went over my head. Our Brand Is Crisis was quite dull too but wasn't as long and the characters were more likable, took a fancy to the young lad who was assisting the campaign.
January 28, 20169 yr Author Dirty Grandpa (2016) Seventh Son (2015) The Big Short (2016) The 5th Wave (2016) Wreck-It Ralph (2012) Love & Mercy (2015) Selma (2015) Just thought that WIR was so clever and Disney just keep delivering with great idea after great idea. Like Jahq, Dirty Grandpa hit all the right comedy notes for me and had a great cast too, quite shocked at how bad the reviews are. Seventh Son was a bit bad  The Big Short was just too confusing and therefore dull 'cause I didn't know what was going on. Love & Mercy was suprisingly very good, never knew how interesting the life of Brian Wilson was as I'd only really heard of his name before. Selma was a very important film too and many scenes really hit home, couldn't believe when the building with the school girls in it was blown up.
