Debuted at #43 :/ I know it's the Christmas rush and all but it didn't even sell more copies than the WILD EP did to reach #5 :( Such a shame for this INCREDIBLE album.

Another injustice.

Been inexplicably late to Troye's newer stuff (I only checked out 'Wild' for the first time last week :unsure:) but I always knew an album of his would be up my street, having loved 'Touch' and some other tracks in the past. Listened to 'Blue Neighbourhood' three times in a row the other night so it's safe to say I was right! It's all about how well the consistently exciting production fuses with the dreamy quality of his vocals for me. Such an accomplished debut - it appears he's absolutely nailed his sound and identity going by how cohesive it all is. As such, I don't have any obvious highlights other than 'Wild' and the collabs with Allday and Tkay (two of the best acts to come out of Australia in recent years so I was delighted to see they feature on this), and 'Ease' with Broods didn't disappoint either.

 

Don't quite get why 'Youth' is the next single though - the chorus doesn't work for me at all.

This album is really something else.

HEAVEN hit me earlier also, such a deep song lyrically. Had a moment listening to the album as a whole last night too, such a special collection of songs :heart:

'TALK ME DOWN' is the song that's hit me recently!

 

But this album is seriously fantastic. I can't get enough atm!

Fast becoming one of my absolute favourite albums of the last few years! I'm really taken aback by how good this really is. Possibly my favourite since 'Aquarius' for sure!

I know it's very early to say but I think this could go on to be an all-time favourite. New songs keep hitting me and old faves continue to grow. What an album.

It is a totally special album. Continuously rising up my rankings and i'll probably join you two in having it as an ALL-TIME or at least DECADE favourite soon enough. There are too many highlights.
