Posted October 13, 20159 yr Will TT release a following III EP like Progressed? And how many copies did III sale in UK to date? will it be able to go double platiunum? :cheer:
October 13, 20159 yr I suspect we are getting a reissue of III with maybe 3-4 new tracks. It's sales will depend on the success of the single but I would expect it should pass 600k mark (only needs to shift about 110-120k I think.
October 13, 20159 yr Yes, I think we will! Word was that they would repackage III with 4 new tracks, followed by a new studio album next Xmas. Interestingly, Gary has also confirmed the release of a live album which would probably be released around the same time as this would be. I think we could see this new single released this Friday too - especially now the change to chart dates (i.e. A Friday) would complement potential sales and chart placement.
October 14, 20159 yr Cant wait for the new material, love getting another live album, i think i have more than once mentioned my love of live albums, especially by acts such as Take That.
October 14, 20159 yr Haha, yes you have! I share that love for live albums. The circus one was incredible - especially with the abbey road disc
October 14, 20159 yr New single will be played on radio at 8am on Friday! It's called Hey Boy. Another very upbeat song! Go on their Twitter account for a 15 sec preview
October 14, 20159 yr So, so disappointed with the snippet I've heard. Although I really like lll I was desperately hoping for a more traditional ballad for the next release. I know it's too early to predict sales on the back of 15 seconds but it sounds very generic and over produced. I don't think it will have wide appeal or encourage previous fans to buy it. Who is guiding their sound at the moment? Gary's music for FN is very much in the tradition of classic pop/old style TT. I am rather exasperated, I'm afraid, but I hope to be convinced!!
October 14, 20159 yr Sadly, I agree with you, Pippa. Can you think of any reason why their have moved away from the BW and Circus sound? This single sounds dated and 80's to me. They must realize that their most popular records stem from a traditional pop sound and not an 80's electronic sound?
October 14, 20159 yr On a big downer now. After listening to it a few more times it sounds like a Eurovision entry!!!! :(
October 14, 20159 yr I too agree with you, dylandog :( I was quite excited based on the snippet leaked a few months ago. That was the kind of sound I was hoping to hear this time. I think they're trying too hard to change the style of their music. I'm here for FN type of songs, not Demi Lovato generic music.
October 14, 20159 yr It's difficult to say at this stage, but I thought it sounded good on first listen. Similar to These Days and that did well
October 14, 20159 yr I quite like the snippet. Very radio-friendly (although I'm only 22, so I'm probably more used to today's pop music) Also, their Twitter indicates that they are going for the on-air, on-sale release method. Hope it works for them. Edited October 14, 20159 yr by iamstrong
October 14, 20159 yr Last time they did this was Love Love. Good charting, but poor chart run. Hopefully they'll promo this like mad next week
October 14, 20159 yr I see most fans enjoy the new snippet. I hope TT got it right and the single will help them sell. I also hope the other 3 new tracks are more to my taste than this one.
October 14, 20159 yr The long awaited follow up to Do What U Like? :o I look forward to hearing it in full, will reserve judgement until then.
October 14, 20159 yr Heavy promotion is needed to give the Three era of their career a good final push.
