Feels like ages since having a full album from Bev, don't really count Soul UK as it was all covers, 100% was alright on the whole. Another 'Affirmation' please.
November 6, 20159 yr Booked for York I love Beverley when she's on her game and I hope her new album is more 'Affirmation' ''Prodigal Sista' than 100% I wasnt keen on that or Soul Uk either
November 8, 20159 yr YASSSS! I've got tickets to Sheffield, London and Manchester. Been waiting too long for this album/tour. I saw her twice in Memphis and twice in The Bodyguard and I'm seeing her in Cats this week, but it's not enough! I'm hoping for some good original material in the vein of "Affirmation".
April 29, 20169 yr *NEWS* The album is called "Soulsville" and is inspired by the sounds and stylings of Memphis. It include new material and covers. Tracklisting: 1 Middle of Love 2 When I See You Again 3 Private Number (with Jamie Cullum) 4 All Things Must Change 5 I Can't Stand the Rain 6 Red Flag 7 Don't Play That Song for Me 8 Still Here 9 Sitting on the Edge 10 Hound Dog (feat. Jools Holland) 11 I Won't Be Looking Back 12 Hold On I'm Coming (with Sam Moore) The single is "Middle Of Love" and can be heard here: http://smarturl.it/MiddleOfLove EXCITED. Too many covers for my liking, but "I Can't Stand The Rain" is an absolute tune and I look forward to her version. Edited April 29, 20169 yr by AaronTM
May 1, 20169 yr I am so ready for this album. I'm not crazy about the single though. It's very Bev and what she's all about ("SOUL"), but I wanted something more memorable.
May 22, 20169 yr I'm going on Wednesday Why is the album out after the tour ? Wtf ?? From what I could tell, they seemed to be aiming to have the album out earlier than this - I'm sure it was initially said to be planned for an April release. II'm guessing they set the tour dates with an April release in mind, then the album was delayed until June. But now she's back in the West End with The Boydguard from mid-July until January, so she has to go into rehearsals almost as soon as the tour is over. I'm guessing this meant there was no option to push back the tour so it took place before the album release. It's a bit of a shame, but I'm still excited to see her!
May 26, 20169 yr I went to the palladium show ! The gig was amazing !!! Such a great setlist and the crowd were great.
