It was actually a really well-made programme (I saw 27-5 yesterday on the repeat) with some new insights. Just a shame that some of my faves were away down at the bottom!

But songs like Rain, with its excellent bass guitar run, Ringo at his best, George's almost psychedelic-sounding guitar, and slightly overlapping vocal harmonies shouldn't be underestimated.

Yep, Rain is a brilliant song and a great flip to Paperback Writer. Definitely the best Beatles single overall.
