Oooo!! That shade to all the people who claimed she used the Orlando tragedy as a way to promote herself. Good on her though, it seems today Madonna can do no right at all despite any good intentions she has.

She does get flack for everything she does now and it's so tiring. Good on her for fighting back and sticking up for herself! Everyone knows her intentions are good and she really cares, people just have too much time on their hands and too much hate in their minds.

I don't consider myself a particular George Michael fan but his death hit me more than Bowie or Prince, perhaps because of it being Christmas Day and the fact I'd be listening to 'Last Christmas' throughout the day with no idea what was to come. Plus 'Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go' is one of my ultimate night-out party songs. Not going to be able to listen to that one the same way again.

 

I know there's no suggestion this could happen any time soon, but I'm getting more genuinely scared at the prospect of Madonna being next to appear on the "breaking news" report. :( I don't think I could cope with that.

Prince hit me the hardest this year but this was a big one too. :( RIP

They both impacted on me but I just wasn't too involved with their music beforehand (I enjoyed a lot of Bowie music but it was largely on a superficial level), whereas I've had a lot of moments with George's music, even if I wouldn't consider myself a fan as such. Plus I had a really great Christmas Day and George's death really spun my mood around.

 

I know!! :( I really don't want to think about it but it just unwantedly, although kind of inevitably, popped into my mind. I may not know Madonna but she's had one of the biggest impacts on my life regardlessly.
