2005 ends with good news for Mariah Carey. The singer beat 50 Cent in a close race for the year's best-selling album. In the latest figures, Carey has sold 4.866 million copies to 50's 4.834 million.

Go Mariah. Because her album pleased everyone. The R&B is the 'new' Mariah. But still the 'old' Mariah had a couple of outings on there as well.
