830,000 is incredible and with 2 days sales remaining Adele will easily manage 900,000. What an achievement in the current climate of cd sales. Triple platinum in its first week. That said, if she does manage to sell over 900,000 i will be slightly disappointed she missed out on 1 million opening sales as that would just sound even more amazing.

No 830K is Mint's (probably overestimated) personal prediction for the whole week. She's at 681K.

agree 800K is a more realistic figure considering she's done 66K today

but the record for fastest selling album is beaten yay!!!!!!!

The main version that sold was the live performance from the Brits which was released the night of the Brits.

Maybe that's not what you meant but define "single"? lol

I remember assuming that too but I found out the the Brits version only sold 200,000 of the total sales.

So 681K in the UK (it's fair to say the record is now taken)

2.4m in the US (from yesterday)

210K in Aus

Just in those 3 regions that's 3.2million not counting other countries. And the week isn't out yet!

Adele will likely sell a minimum of 300,000 in week 2 bringing sales well over a million in 2 weeks.

Also sold 216k in 4 days in Canada and looks likely to take the biggest first week opening sales off Celine Dion over there which was 230k first week, I read somewhere she had sold 90k in 3 days in France. Looks like to open with 5 million WW.

Zero promo for her (+/-) In the UK but she's doing so much promo in the US.. MYA was just performed there 30 minutes ago an jumped to top 30 again... after she have already 3 songs in the top 10. Hello, WWWY, and WUTB. She isn't gonna do some UK promo at all? X Factor or anything?

If she does 800K this week which is very likely, She would only need to sell 200k next week to do 1 million in 2 weeks, So that another record by any chance?

I can imagine Adele will still be selling 200k+ in her third week. I wonder if Coldplay can outdo her.

Their last album managed 168,000 but it wasn't a Q4 release, and their newest single has had more radio support than Magic did and there seems to be decent hype around this release. It'll be verrrry interesting.

If I had to bet on it, my money would still be on Adele.

Sadly... I wish they can beat her but it's too soon, they should have waited another week or two :(

There has been a recall on the Take That reissue due to faulty DVD so that may well lose them their top 10 placing.

Thanks for mentioning this. I'm gonna see if my Take That DVD works and if it doesn't, I'll have to take mine back
