It's nearly time for Rejects season but firstly here's a quick poll which considers the songs that just missed out on a qualification, as in theory they should be the ones getting the most votes.

 

Some great songs just missed out, including poor Triangledonia twice in a row. FKA π also did this twice but not consecutively.

 

For me it has to be 'Shivers' from semi 1 and 'Stay Strong' from semi 2. Overall the latter is my favourite too, hopefully that can somehow do well now that there is less Tartford racism.

Best in Semi 1 is 'Jilted'. Best in Semi 2 is 'Flutterwonder' (with an honourable mention to 'Inside Out').

Pretty easy picks for both here - 'Encore' and 'Enssa El Aatab' are both among my favourite entries of the year <3 / </3 'You're Always Good' and 'Flutterwonder' would be my second choices for each semi. Much love also for 'tell me', 'Stay Strong' and 'Even If I'm Late'.

 

Omar Souleyman came like 6th in his semi prior to deduction so praying for a good showing in the Rejects.

I actually didn't vote for either of my two appearances :teresa: but I went for In My Headphones as I remember it was pretty good.

 

(I accidentally voted for Fearless in semi 2 when I just saw My Window after it, a previous potential of mine so can a mod please change my vote to that :D)

 

Also I think I remember it was Ghost that was 20th in the semi that blocked poor Yehesi's My Window from Qing?

 

If I would choose which of the most undeserving of my misses it would be Nungwi which I thought would do better until its floppy dubtrack reception, but as for my favourite of the two it would be Shivers by a mile.

I really think this contest had the most ROBBED DNQ's in that position tbh, though both Don Diablo and f(x) were the biggest messes this year.

You're Always Good for Semi 1 OBVIOUSLY (that closeness still hurts :cry:), I voted 4 Walls for Semi 2 due to the fresh SHOCK of that, though I didn't see Enssa El Aatab there, that would be my fave, another injustice </3 (though it would have actually qualified had Pav voted, gah).

Obviously Flutterwonder for semi 2, still have pains that I potentially missed out on a decent hit from that :( For semi 1 I'd go for 'War', I like Nungwi ever so slightly more but 'War' would have been something pretty cool and different in the final - and we might still have Sangria entering had that qualified.

Encore and Enough! Not just because the latter is mine, it's genuinely my favourite. Although f(x) DNQ'ing is absolutely ridiculous, the anti Asian pop agenda needs to stop :/ :/ :/

Well, random.org isn't going to give everyone five Semi 1 draws and five Semi 2 draws every year, so getting four of one and six of the other doesn't seem unusual at all. Plus I see you were in Semi 1 only three times last year :P.

 

I've voted 'Shivers' for Semi 1, the only one of those I'd given points to, and 'Inside Out' for Semi 2 which I really fell in love with after the contest :wub:

 

Gone for Ji Nilsson for semi 1 and Don Diablo for semi 2. The former was a no brainer as it was my 12 in that semi, though 'In My Headphones' was a huge grower in the end so that'd be second. 'My Window' was a total jam, an occasion where I have provided Yehesi with points. :(

Just realised I also didn't see Even If I'm Late was there too :'( Both that and Enssa... are two of my favourite entries, I don't normally really love DNQs but these were the exception.
