Commonly regarded as the Confessions answer to 'Frozen' or 'Shanti', 'Issac' appears to be the most marmite track on the album. Yitzhak Sinwani, of whom the song is named after, sings over the plodding beat a section of the Hebrew 'Im Nin'alu', which translates as "even if the gates of the rich are closed, the gates of heaven will never be closed". This is in essence what the song is about: there is a higher force which will always welcome you and can guide you through your life. However, the production is what shines through for me, particularly from when everything goes quiet around the 3:50 mark and builds and builds until that glorious drop at 4:40 - love that sooo much! :wub:

This is my perfect top 5 :heart: I hosted predrinks last night and played the album for a good part of it. Incredible comments from the people there and made me realise that it is such a universal album. Was a special feeling to share my love for the album with REAL LIFE people for once :wub:
