November 24, 20159 yr Author After 3 years away, Bosnia & Herzegovina have confirmed their participation in Stockholm! (Source. (in Bosnian))
November 24, 20159 yr Yaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssss Okay their most recent few years weren't at their best but I've got high hopes for them.
November 24, 20159 yr The 2006-2012 run is probably the best consecutive Eurovision run for any country ever. 2006-2008 is pure perfection. So excited.
November 24, 20159 yr I found that Bosnia & Herzegovina are one of my least favourite Eurovision countries when doing the Super Eurovision thing this year, although they don't usually provide anything horrible (except Deen) - just nothing incredible either (except Pokusaj ). Therefore I'm very pleased we have a returnee, it's just a shame they are 99% going to waste it on Deen again if rumours are anything to go by. At least it is apparently in collaboration with Dalal and cellist Ana Rucner, so it could be an improvement on the horrendous 'In The Disco'. We shall find out tomorrow at 6.30pm GMT when the entrant will be announced! :D
November 25, 20159 yr 50 minutes till the press conference and if anyone fancies their first slice of trying to work out what is happening on a random European TV channel you can follow the live stream here! :cheer:
November 25, 20159 yr And going to Stockholm is Deen and Dalal Midhat-Talakić. 23h__RssJQo qsJKBkfg1AI Well 'In The Disco' was absolutely dreadful, but hopefully the involvement of Dalal will mean this will be nothing like that mess.
November 25, 20159 yr Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina - Today, the representatives of Bosnia & Herzegovina in the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest have been announced in a press conference, broadcast live on the public TV channel BHT1: Dalal Midhat Talakić, Fuad Backović-Deen and Ana Rucner! Dalal Midhat Talakić, Fuad Backović-Deen and Ana Rucner have been internally chosen to represent Bosnia & Herzegovina in Stockholm. Deen has already represented his home country in the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest in Istanbul with In The Disco. Ana Rucner is a well-known cellist. Their song will be presented to the public in a TV show in February. For weeks the participation of Bosnia & Herzegovina in the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest has been in doubt for financial reasons but today, public broadcaster BHRT has announced that due to sponsorship deals the problems have been solved. Thus, we are happy to welcome back Bosnia & Herzegovina in the competition for the first time since 2012, when Maya Sar represented the country with Korake ti znam in Baku. Eurovision.tv The song was apparently written by Dalal and she approached Deen, so it looks like she's the main driving force behind this entry! Hopefully they come up with a catchier artist name than Dalal Midhat Talakić, Fuad Backović-Deen and Ana Rucner though :heehee:
November 25, 20159 yr Ryan this In The Disco hatred is HOMOPHOBIA AND I WILL REPORT YOU IF IT CONTINUES
November 25, 20159 yr  It really is the worst type of basic! Although according to my rankings from Super Eurovision, I ranked Bosnia's 2001 entry below Deen so I dread to think what that sounded like.
February 2, 20169 yr Was confirmed a couple of weeks ago that this entry will be in Bosnian, and over the weekend it was revealed that rapper Jala will be joining this "supergroup"! It all seems a very unusual combination and on the face of it seems like a possible first DNQ for Bosnia & Herzegovina but we shall wait and see if it can surprise.
February 2, 20169 yr i have EXTREMELY high hopes for this. Bosnia have never disappointed me with their entries since 2006. best run everrrr
February 11, 20169 yr Someone on ESC Forum has translated a review of the song by someone who has apparently heard it and they say that "it will be in the final but not top 10 material" but is not bad by any means. "It starts with a typical Balkan sound, even oriental and Dalal dominates in the song. A bit boring but Deen still has his vibrato and the rap is at the end of the song. Rucner plays a part of the melody finishes with her". I thought this was going to be a mess but it seems like it could be nice enough!
February 19, 20169 yr Author The songs gets presented tonight, in a 90 minute (!) show, which you watch on eurovision.tv, starting at 7:15 UK time.
February 19, 20169 yr Author Well I really enjoyed that! Until the pointless 20 second rap at the end.
February 19, 20169 yr THE STRINGS ARE EVERYTHING THIS IS AMAZING why and HOW are bosnia SO good every single year for the past decade (since 2007 inclusive)?! without a single exception! ahhhhhhh!
February 19, 20169 yr This is a decent entry, love Ana's instrumental parts and the rap was a needed modern twist on a typical Bosnian formula. It's nice, and much better than I was expecting, but Bosnia are still one of my least favourite Eurovision countries - I've never really loved any of their entries although Laka and Regina were both very good, then again I've never really hated any either - they are just quite middle of the road and predictable.
