excuse me?

Nice albums from Disclosure and I've heard half of Purpose which has a few great tracks i.e. singles and Children :music: I enjoy Sucker too and Fan of a Fan is rather good :D

Marina albums are alsways very good :music: I like most of ID singles so maybe that's another artist who's albums I should check out  Jess Glynne's album is very good also, she's got a habit of releasing all the great songs from it as singles :D

Delirium  I listened to her previous albums which were good but this album is great! Songs like Codes, SITWYM, LMLYD, I could go on!

Spads, what is that signature and why is it SO large? Only you!

Children is one of my faves too, good pick there.

You should definitely check Imagine Dragons' albums, it's all good stuff, some nice loud instrumentals too.

Jess has definitely picked very good singles so far, hope she goes back to uptempos next though.

SITWYM is one of her best ever tracks, hope it gets a single release down the line.

Thanks you!

Jess's and Ellie's (Love Me Like You Do + Something In The Way You Move>>>>>>>>>>) albums are good but not as good as I was expecting them to be.

Title is easily one of my favourites of the year though and such a fantastic pop album, every single song is fantastic

Hi UV

For me it's OMM and SITWYM >>>> the rest. LMLYD is a tune though.

I agree there with Title, she really delivered, love her uptempos more though for sure.

Thanks!

Rebel Heart   It's been amazing to see your growth into a true Madonna fan this past year *_* so happy you went back through the back-catalogue! Rebel Heart is fantastic, so many high points (with SHOCKING low points too, but that's part of her charm now :P). I see her live v soon *-*

A few albums that didn't live up to the hiipe such as Delirium and Made in the A.M. but Froot has grown on my and Revival is decent now! Not heard the rest ~

Hi Bal

Madonna is my most played artist of the year, would never have expected that at all! She'll be amazing live I imagine so have loads of fun.

Delirium lived up to my hype, way stronger than Halycon for me much to your disappointment I expect. I agree that Four is stronger than MITAM.

Thank you lots for commenting!

Don't listen to lots of albums so can't comment too much here, but yay for Queen of Music Jess Glynne in your top 10  She's only had a single #1 in my chart too, 'Rather Be'. 'My Love' (Route 94 version) spent 5 weeks at #2 though.

Ooo, unlucky for My Love there. I liked Rather Be but I feel like it's not as good as everybody says, her solo songs are way stronger. I definitely like her as an artist way more than only one #1 would make you think though, she has a fantastic voice.

Thanks Dan!

HOWEVER. Those Everything Everything, Wolf Alice and Chvrches albums are magic <3

Joe :o They're all great albums, some of the best pop music around..

Good picks there though, two excellent returns and one fantastic debut, looking forward to future stuff from them all!

Thanks for commenting!

06. Of Monsters and Men - Beneath the Skin

http://i.imgur.com/R3lCXFe.png

Chart run: (2-2-2-4-4-4-4-1-2-2-3-3-6-5-5-6-10-10-x) 18 weeks

Hit Singles:

07 Crystals / (7-9-12-18-21-22-29-40-43-48-xx[2]-34-x) 11 weeks

12 I of the Storm / (16-16-12-20-38-49-35-50-x) 8 weeks

All throughout this countdown, I've been talking all about how albums disappointed or pleased compared to that artist's previous album(s), but for this I really have no idea what to say. Is this better than 'My Head is an Animal', I just don't know, but what I do know is both are absolutely excellent. The thing is, both albums are so similar in sound with very little progression, it's hard to split them apart, this sort of sounds like a re-release of their debut album but because I loved that so much, I love this so much too. Nanna's vocals are probably one of the most soothing voices in music and she makes all the songs just sound so silky and beautiful. It works with anything from acoustic to tense drums in I of the Storm. Forget all those chill compilations, if you want to chill, go out and buy Beneath the Skin! If you do anything today, listen to Organs because that is a gorgeous song. This was originally stopped from getting to #1 by Florence and the Machine who is still yet to come but it sneaked in a week at the top in its 8th week in the chart.

Anyway here are my highlights:

• Wolves Without Teeth

• Crystals

• Human

• Hunger

• Organs

05. Ella Eyre - Feline

http://i.imgur.com/T20P3Tj.png

Chart run: (1-1-1-2-4-5-7-8-8-7-8-10-10-...) 13 weeks (SO FAR)

Hit Singles:

01 If I Go / (2-12-13-15-16-19-16-6-1-8-17-21-32-48-42-x) 15 weeks

01 Comeback / (1-5-16-16-24-19-21-7-7-16-43-x) 11 weeks

02 Together / (5-2-4-6-2-2-3-16-36-x) 9 weeks

07 Good Times / (7-7-7-7-16-18-22-29-9-15-34-x) 11 weeks

If there's one underperformance of an artist that has really upset me this year, it is Ella Eyre. The idea that she may fade and never get another album released is really sad, especially when you consider that the music is this high quality yet the public are just somehow not interested in it or her. Even I admit I was tired of the formula by the time Good Times was released and was having worries about what the album would end up sounding like but it completely blew me out the water and has a lot of diversity on it. There are absolutely stunning ballads and plenty of sass that we all fell in love with on Comeback, Typical Me is like its twin sister which is just as good. Hopefully she still sticks around and comes back even better than ever soon. :(

Anyway here are my highlights:

• Comeback

• Typical Me

• Home

• Two

• Deeper

04. Lana Del Rey - Honeymoon

http://i.imgur.com/dIYhIiE.png

Chart run: (1-2-2-2-3-3-1-3-5-5-...) 10 weeks (SO FAR)

Hit Singles:

05 High by the Beach / (35-23-20-25-6-5-10-20-30-41-48) 11 weeks

So Lana managed to do what One Direction could not do and improve on the EOY peak of their respective album's from last year. Ultraviolence finished at #5 of the year end chart in 2014 and this has managed to increase on that by one place. At first, I ranked this as her worst album and really not what she needed to come back with to get the general public interested again, I was right with the latter thought but the former thought couldn't have been more wrong. The hooks definitely play a good game of hide and seek in the first few listens but slowly they start to creep out and then you know all the words the next minute before you know it. In addition, her voice sounds as striking as ever and the album is very cohesive when meant I liked it very much. Sadly, it only managed one week at #1 to begin with because CHVRCHES and Selena Gomez kept at #2 for a while but it did manage to get one more after Nothing but Thieves' run at the top.

Anyway here are my highlights:

• Honeymoon

• God Knows I Tried

• Religion

• Salvatore

• High by the Beach

So the top 3 is a fight between:

LITTLE MIX VS. NICKI MINAJ VS. FLORENCE + THE MACHINE

How will it turn out? Any predictions are welcome :D

Edited by Josh.

I'm expecting Little Mix considering you really love their 2 singles from it, but maybe that's too recent and Florence will get it?

All great albums though if I'm honest I was a bit disappointed with Honeymoon and don't go back to it that often :(

Little Mix for the win but think it will be Nicki!

Can Little Mix win please

My rank would be:

1. LM

2. Nicki Minaj

3. Florence

I've not heard Florence album but I'm not a big fan of their music.

I love the two singles a lot but it would be a tough ask for the rest of the album to be THAT good, although some stuff does come fairly close. All will soon be revealed :P

Oo, Honeymoon pleasantly surprised me and I've still got it in my car door to listen to, thought you'd be a big fan!

Florence for the win

Maybe, what an album for sure!

Can Little Mix win please

2. Nicki Minaj

Florence is excellent, I didn't think she'd be your thing but for me she doesn't have one weak track..

03. Little Mix - Get Weird

http://i.imgur.com/6ER0m0S.png

Chart run: (2-1-1-1-...) 4 weeks(SO FAR)

Hit Singles:

01 Black Magic / (15-10-1-3-4-4-3-2-4-3-5-5-8-11-27-35-40-48-46) 19 weeks

01 Love Me Like You / (3-1-1-1-1-2-2-2-1-2-3-...) 11 weeks (SO FAR)

Previous to this, I'd never listened to a Little Mix album but after releasing two of the best girlband singles ever, I had to listen to this. Of course, nothing is as good as those two singles but it gets very close, a lot of this is quite Stooshe which is no bad thing, ADIDAS is my favourite album track and that's very Stooshe and therefore SO good. I do prefer their uptempos just because they're so sassy and fun but their ballads are pretty gorgeous too, I'd have picked I Love You as next single tbh because I think it's better but I hope they go back to uptempos after SLS. I've become a proper fan of their music and all the girls this era because they've showed off their bubbly personalities too, I'm a big new fan now.

Anyway here are my highlights:

• Love Me Like You

• Black Magic

• A.D.I.D.A.S.

• Hair

• Weird People

02. Florence + the Machine - How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful

http://i.imgur.com/mjceu3g.png

Chart run: (1-1-1-1-2-2-2-1-2-1-1-2-2-3-3-3-4-7-8-9-10-10-9-10-x) 24 weeks

Hit Singles:

01 What Kind of Man / (4-2-1-3-6-9-10-13-25-30-38-39-44-49-xx[2]-34-45-45-50-x) 18 weeks

03 Ship to Wreck / (11-24-33-50-xx[4]-3-8-7-11-20-49-x) 10 weeks

04 Queen of Peace / (8-5-4-11-11-12-19-26-35-49-x) 10 weeks

04 Delilah / (6-6-4-...) 3 weeks (SO FAR)

After two excellent albums, Florence really had something to live up to and she came back with her second best album. Lungs is perhaps my favourite album of all time but this is really, really good. All the songs are so good, thoughtful lyrics, catchy hooks, beautiful instrumentals and one hell of a voice. I'd love to see her live again just to her voice live because she is a fantastic vocalist, she's picked all the right singles so far too so I'm so disappointed this has been a big drop in sales from the last album. I know the sales climate is partially to blame but this deserves so much more than what it's on now when each track is perfect. Not sure why she didn't complete Which Witch though when it's one of the best tracks on here. This would've been #1 on many years but you can't beat Nicki Minaj for me. This does hold the record for most weeks at the #1 spot though with 7 non-consecutive weeks.

Anyway here are my highlights:

• How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful

• Queen of Peace

• Delilah

• Which Witch (Demo)

• What Kind of Man

01. Nicki Minaj - The Pinkprint

http://i.imgur.com/lOOz0BX.png

Chart run: (1-1-1-1-1-1-3-3-6-8-9-10-10-9-10-8-7-6-3-5-8-8-3-3-8-9-8-10-9-10-10-9-9-9-9-10-10-9-10-9-10-x) 41 weeks

Hit Singles:

01 Pills N Potions / (1-3-10-20-38-43-50-x) 7 weeks

01 Anaconda / (3-1-2-4-7-11-35-41-45-2-5-5-8-13-27-47-x) 16 weeks

01 Only / (3-1-8-18-30-38-40-22-16-17-22-39-x) 12 weeks

01 Bed Of Lies / (14-4-11-10-1-2-2-8-33-37-40-48-x) 12 weeks

07 Truffle Butter / (13-25-40-7-14-26-20-20-21-27-30-41-46-x) 13 weeks

09 The Night Is Still Young / (14-18-9-9-17-25-36-43-50-31-26-37-x) 12 weeks

Yes, this is just about a 2014 album but I did my albums countdown in late November last year too so 1989 stole the crown. I wasn't really expecting Nicki to actually release it on the announced date either after the uncountable amount of pushbacks this album had. This was all I could listen to for months and that is shown by it holding the record for longest run on my chart at 41 weeks in the top 10! Each song is either packed with sass, packed with bonker lyrics, packed with clever lyrics, packed with heartfelt sadness, packed with awesome features and this all adds up to one hell of an album. She's worked on her singing voice and she sounds great on here, her flow and lyrics are on top form as usual and the album wouldn't be long enough if it had 100 tracks so I'm not going to complain that his over 20. Much like Florence though, it's hard to top Pink Friday, this has a more polished sound but I like the authenticity in PF the jomst

Anyway here are my highlights:

• Buy a Heart

• The Crying Game

• Favorite

• Feeling Myself

• Get On Your Knees

Edited by Josh.

Oh well :P The Pinkprint is rather good though. Singles (apart from Anaconda ofc :puke: ) and the tracks you've listed are rather good :music:

Edited by Adam's Satsuma🙁

All great but would have them in the opposite order!

Get Weird is probably my favourite album this year, full of so many fantastic songs and echo your comment about A.D.I.D.A.S being so Stooshe (which is always an amazing thing!)

Anaconda is one of the best single, pure bonkers and so much fun  Great lyrics too! I find it hard to believe people don't like one Nicki single though, she's so much fun

Thank you!

All great but would have them in the opposite order!

Get Weird is probably my favourite album this year, full of so many fantastic songs and echo your comment about A.D.I.D.A.S being so Stooshe (which is always an amazing thing!)

ADIDAS even has the token Stooshe talking parts, so much fun it is, would make a good single further down I think.

Thank you!!

You Don't Own Me is fantastic, Teach Me is great, Shura is very good

Don't like any of the others though oops :kink:

Indecision was very good, the other stuff she did was good too but that's definitely my favourite, would love to hear an album by her though

Thank you :D

ANYTHING BUT I DON'T MIND UGH :puke2:

idk what that is, go indecision for extra recognition though.

I Don't Mind is so catchy! One of Usher's better jams if I do say so myself :music:

Thanks Cody!

eww at Take Me To Sleep but at least it's not top 100

It's one of his best I think, the lyrics are very poignant too. I suppose Someone New is a bit more boppy and catchy though.

Thanks Dan!

100 Florence + the Machine - Ship to Wreck (11-24-33-50-xx[4]-3-8-7-11-20-49-x) 10 weeks

099 Taylor Swift - Wildest Dreams (6-17-33-45-48-x) 5 weeks

098 Nothing but Thieves - Trip Switch (14-17-24-25-36-39-49-x) 7 weeks

097 Carly Rae Jepsen - Run Away With Me (6-2-1-2-4-5-22-34-41-x) 9 weeks

096 Marina & the Diamonds - Forget (25-16-13-16-31-x) 5 weeks

095 Madonna - Ghosttown (22-23-16-19-20-27-37-x) 7 weeks

094 Of Monsters & Men - I of the Storm (16-16-12-20-38-49-35-50-x) 8 weeks

093 Jack U feat. Justin Bieber - Where Are U Now (31-28-30-31-31-18-28-31-31-47-36-37-46-x) 13 weeks

Ship to Wreck - This is quite low for a Florence single but really, the only 10/10 thing about it is her vocals, the chorus is passable and the verses are nice but it's all a bit boring but doesn't go anywhere. Still, I listened to this a lot and feel it deserves a spot on the list.

Wildest Dreams - This seems like it has a really short chart run for a song appearing in my top 100 but I was a big fan of this all year round before it was announced as a single. By that time, I had already burned it out a lot anyway and my music consumption had become mainly Spotify only so I didn't really play it much out of choice meaning it left my chart rather swiftly.

Trip Switch - This is the high energy fun rock music I'd been talking about in the album write-up, this is what they do best and this is a fine example of that. They do have one song still to come in the countdown.

Run Away With Me - This is my first #1 to drop out (apart from You Don't Own Me which has only been in my chart for two weeks so not very comparable). This had a really infectious chorus and lovely instrumental but got old very quickly and nowadays, I'd rather skip it on the radio so that's why it's quite low here despite a 9 week run.

Forget - I talked about quirky pop with catchy hooks in the album write-up and here is one of the many good examples of this, nothing revolutionary but it had a quirkiness that kept me going back.

Ghosttown - This is the last time Madonna will be appearing here so see you in 2016 Madge (maybe)! Ghosttown is a lovely song where she really sounds fantastic, was a main highlight from the beginning so I was very happy when it was announced as a single.

I of the Storm - This is very OMAM sounding but if it ain't broken... I love the addition of the drums in this though, they make the song sound refreshing and complement Nanna's vocals very nicely.

Where Are U Now - This had a very long run on my chart and didn't peak for weeks when it settled for #18 on its sixth week and it stuck around for a while after that too. I've never really had a moment when I fell in love with it even for a day but I've always 'liked' it a fair amount for a long time which adds up to a #93 position at the end of the year.
