Rihanna, Kanye West & Paul McCartney - "FourFiveSeconds" Chart Points: 4229 Lead single, Anti Chart Run: 40-30-19-19-17-17-18-26-36 (9 weeks) kt0g4dWxEBo Let me tell you - I didn't expect any of this from Rihanna. Maybe from Kanye, considering "Only One" exists, but for this to be a Rihanna lead single was a bit shocking for me. Anyway, I liked the acoustic vibe of this song that Paul McCartney (!!!) brought to the table, and I don't know how it seemed to click with me but I guess it's because it's one of those songs that people can belt in the car when they're alone. Rihanna's vocals work well here, especially during the middle 8. I don't know why, but it gives me a late 80's folk vibe.

Nick Jonas - "Levels" Chart Points: 4230 Lead single, Nick Jonas X2 Chart Run: 35-34-26-27-19-19-17-20-25-40 (10 weeks) taViGR5VT1U The story of Nick Jonas is simple: gets in a band with his brothers whist going through puberty, hits puberty by the second album and becomes the poster child for the guy next door, then gets his hair buzzed, then becomes a sex god. So yeah, pretty standard Hollywood story right there. Now, it's not that common anymore for Disney alums to go through the sex route, but for Nick, there's something about this song that makes it work. Once again, the Radio Disney version butchers the song, but hearing it in its entirety kinda warms it up for me. I particularly like the "Doing that drug you're dealing" line. Do I want more of this from Nick? Maybe.
January 5, 20169 yr Author Like a soldier on the battleground lying wounded on the field... 115.) Cash Cash f/Julia Michaels - "Surrender" Chart Points: 4231 Non-album single Chart Run: 44-34-20-17-17-18-20-30-46 (9 weeks) 7Vi578l61V4 Of course I love Cash Cash. These guys are one of my favorite producers. I'm still waiting for them to get another smash after "Take Me Home". And I'm still waiting for them to release a full-length album. The boys are currently experimenting on different subgenres of dance, but this is more on their progressive songs that they broke through with. Julia Michaels is a phenomenal vocalist who has worked with Borgeous many times, and to hear her on this track was pretty nice. I spammed it a lot on plug and it became one of my spring break songs pretty quickly. Don't let the fairly low peak and short chart run fool you: I still really like this song, and to see some others charting it was a delight.
January 5, 20169 yr Author Open doors for me and you might get some... kisses... 114.) Meghan Trainor - "Dear Future Husband" Chart Points: 4274 3rd single, Title Chart Run: 38-34-30-23-24-25-20-17-19-29-46 (11 weeks) ShlW5plD_40 Why do people hate on Meghan Trainor? She went from getting this huge hit to most of Buzzjack hating on her because of her fun songs. I simply don't get it. Anyway, this song is more on the doo-wop late 50's sock hop genre - you know, the type of songs where you know it's the baby boom era and the entire American economy is prospering? It's beautiful for the most part, and I don't see why people would refrain from enjoying it when that's the main purpose of this track. The video is also nice and light hearted but to be honest, the best part of the video was that Charlie Puth cameo. The above lyric is one of my favorite lines of 2015, from its musicality to the sheer cleverness when put into context.

Nick Jonas - "Jealous" Chart Points: 4326 Lead single, Nick Jonas Chart Run: 49-48-43-42-39-39-40-42-37-35-28-26-16-12-10-11-11-11-16-24-29-34-42 (23 weeks (8 in 2015)) yw04QD1LaB0 Here's the second of four Nick Jonas entries on here, the only one being a carryover from 2014. Now this was on the rise for a pretty long time, and at first I was a bit wary that it was going to be another "trying to be Justin Timberlake" song, but the way it just ended up being this giant sensation that catapulted him to stardom eventually made it grow on me. The Tinashe version was the biggest part of this song that made me grow into the original.

Lil Wayne f/Charlie Puth - "Nothing But Trouble" Chart Points: 4400 Promo single, 808: The Film Chart Run: 44-39-34-28-24-24-19-16-17-30-46 (11 weeks) MKVBLu1zkog The second Charlie Puth entry in this countdown - he also has four entries in this list, most of which are features. Anyway, I pegged this to be the next "Holy Grail" and smash the hell out of the charts, becoming another successful comeback for Lil Wayne, but not all is meant to be. The intro always gives me LIFE, and Charlie's voice really fits this type of genre. Lil Wayne ain't half bad either. I'm honestly waiting for another one of his singles to come out despite the legal troubles with his album.
January 6, 20169 yr Author You already know who it is! 111.) Silento - "Watch Me" Chart Points: 4516 Non-album single Chart Run: 46-38-33-25-25-19-16-13-24-37 (10 weeks) vjW8wmF5VWc Silento has accomplished these feats so far: 1.) Young talent reaching new heights on Billboard 2.) One of the most iconic singles of the year 3.) One of the most hated singles of the year. That last part I understand because it's textbook novelty, but if it wasn't, where would the fun be in that? This is a song that shouldn't be taken seriously. This is a song to play in parties after everyone has had maybe three or four drinks. This is a song that people would love to hate and yet hate to love. For it to get this much hate just for being fun is a little extreme. We'll get to the last 10 before the top 100 later!
January 6, 20169 yr 45s   Ooh Cash Cash has another song :o loved Take Me Home in 2014 so I'll give this a listen :D Like DFH, Jealous and Levels (but ofc Avicii's is the superior titled one ) Not heard that Charli Puth song but ERRRR NOOOOOOOOOOOO SILENTO :puke: :drama: if only his name didn't end with an o then I could relax :D
January 6, 20169 yr Is this still the hate chart? Meghan, Puth and Silento :nocheer: (yay for 'Jealous' and 'Hotline Bling' though :heehee: <3)

January 6, 20169 yr Author I promise that you won't want to get off... http://images.shazam.com/coverart/t150368410_s400.jpg 110.) Tough Love f/Ginuwine - "Pony (Jump On It)" Chart Points: 4579 Non-album single Chart Run: 31-22-18-19-19-16-18-26-41 (9 weeks) 5ic5tpqyobM I ended up getting into this song near the time that Magic Mike XXL came out, and I was already a giant fan of the original. This was the original grinding song and Tough Love turned it into such a jam that it didn't really retract from the entire premise of it. For me, I would say it was another one of those surprise hits - I mean, back in the spring, I wouldn't have gotten into "So Freakin' Tight" like I did with "Pony". Now, that may be just the sample talking, but there's something about the production of this song that just makes it so sexy even in an age of deep house greatness.
January 6, 20169 yr Author I'm addicted like it's wrong... 109.) Dawin - "Dessert" Chart Points: 4598 Non-album single Chart Run: 46-45-46-39-34-27-26-26-23-17-16-16... (12+ weeks) NZp_axebSfQ I first found this through the iTunes Dance genre suggestions for new music and thought it was okay. Then I saw it on both the Australian and New Zealand charts and thought, "okay, this is random". Then it started to smash in the Philippines and i decided to give it a try. I was not let down at all. This is another one of those fun dance songs that you'd get drunk to... after you've had enough drinks to handle already. The Silento remix I can live without simply because he doesn't really add anything that enhances nor detracts from my love for it as it is.
January 6, 20169 yr Author Don't disguise the way you wanna love tonight... 108.) Pitbull f/Chris Brown - "Fun" Chart Points: 4794 5th single, Globalization Chart Run: 47-42-28-26-24-19-17-18-22-19-21-38 (12 weeks) jKbR7u8J5PU F is for friends who do stuff together U is for you and me N is for anywhere and anytime at all... SPEAKING OF FUN. This was a Pitbull song that was an utter jam no matter what season it was, and like "Fireball", another song I really got into, it was perfect for the summer and even better for mashups. I still have yet to experiment on that. Anyway, it really reminded me of when I went to Miami to board a cruise, and listening to this on my other cruise really heightened the experience.

The pair first came into my chart with their project from Monsters University, and now they return with a euphoric progressive house jam that should have rocked airwaves across the world. I found this as a workout song and before that, I wasn't sure how to feel about this track, but after a few more listens I finally came through.
January 6, 20169 yr Author Just know you’re talking ‘cause your lips keep moving... 106.) Hilary Duff - "Sparks" Chart Points: 4833 Lead single, Breathe In. Breathe Out Chart Run: 40-36-33-29-25-24-23-22-22-20-22-23-22-34-45 (12 weeks) dpPXpHx9jO4 WHY WAS THIS NEVER RELEASED DURING SEASON 5A OF TEEN WOLF. That probably would have bumped its peak higher than it actually has. I got really excited about a Hilary Duff comeback back when "Chasing The Sun" was released, and while it was pretty relaxing and cute and had one of the best videos of 2014, it also had a pretty high burn rate and I didn't get it as much as most Hilary songs. And I put those on a higher standard. This was more on the path towards the Kylie-sounding Dignity started and that was a new and more classy Hilary. Post-divorce, post-baby and she still sounds like she did a decade ago. The Tinder video I could do without but the video that I posted with this is how a song like this should be captured - pretty colors and some infectious aesthetics.
January 6, 20169 yr Author When I kissed you, I meant it... 105.) Pia Mia f/Chris Brown & Tyga - "Do It Again" Chart Points: 5075 Lead single, TBA Chart Run: 40-34-32-23-17-17-16-15-23-32-44 (11 weeks) cNw8A5pwbVI Cody proving he's ahead of the game here! I first heard this song on the radio back in the end of May, when Pia Mia was slated to be the next big thing according to iHeartRadio (yeah like those things ever go well), and something about the production, the Ariana Grande-styled ad libs and the Chris Brown X Tyga feature really drew me into it. Maybe I just liked the fact that it was a sexy summer anthem and I spammed it in plug every chance I got for the next three weeks. In fact, it was so good that I became surprised when it started smashing in the UK and everyone on Buzzjack just went nuts over her. I'm digging her next single, so keep your eyes peeled for more of her.
January 6, 20169 yr Author When I kissed you, I meant it... 104.) Alesso f/Roy English - "Cool" Chart Points: 5200 5th single, Forever Chart Run: 43-37-33-31-27-19-19-21-22-22-21-21-31-49 (14 weeks) -aWtrEFfS4E The first time I heard this I started singing "Get Outta My Way" in my head... and that was at a Starbucks. Anyway, Alesso had made it big everywhere with "Heroes (We Could Be)" and it was time he took another single on the same path to glory. Sadly, in the US, that didn't happen, but in the UK, he ended up getting another well-deserved top 10 hit. I was honestly expecting myself to get on this the same way I got on board with Heroes but although it didn't quite get to that spectrum of appreciation, its chart run proves that this song was very prominent.
January 6, 20169 yr Author I gave you bass, you gave me sweet talk... 103.) Meghan Trainor - "Lips Are Movin'" Chart Points: 5209 2nd single, Title Chart Run: 39-39-32-26-17-8-5-7-7-8-10-12-14-17-21-25-31-37-47 (19 weeks) qDc_5zpBj7s (Oh my god, it's Theo Raeken's theme song! ~) Here's another Meghan Trainor entry - this one debuting back in 2014 when "All About That Bass" hadn't finished peaking. It slowly grew on me, but when it did, it became one of my full-fledged favorites. The appearances of many YouTubers, most of whom are dancers (CHACHI GONZALES   ), really made the video worthwhile. And to think that it started off as an HP ad! It's a very cute song with a lot of sass similar to AATB, and it sounds a bit more modern than its predecessor, but it does still keep in touch with the 50's/60's jukebox era genre. All of those references to AATB though...
