Posted December 2, 20159 yr Kylie Minogue is to make a surprise bid for that coveted position the Christmas No.1 with a little help from the production team who launched her career - Stock Aitken & Waterman who are reuniting especially for the occasion. A formal announcement is due tomorrow. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showb...istmas-No1.html https://twitter.com/PeteWatermanOBE/status/...759592494342144 b2_HFWUVznI Edited December 2, 20159 yr by top40chartsuk
December 2, 20159 yr I would love nothing more than to see Kylie get another number 1, but i have my doubts
December 2, 20159 yr I'm curious of this. I don't think they are being so extremely serious with that, but for fun it's really a good idea. :D
December 2, 20159 yr Number 1 where exactly? In Kazakhstan? Because the past few years her UK chart positions have been dire... Hopefully she will manage Top 100 with promo...
December 2, 20159 yr If true then I'm not sure how this is meant to appeal beyond her own small fanbase which she'll need to do if she wants a big hit again.
December 2, 20159 yr I think she could maybe get a surprisingly high placing (by her current standards) if it's publicised enough and played on the likes of Heart etc. But of course this remains to be seen, and I'm not holding out much hope. I'm excited about the prospect of a SAW-esque remix of this though. :o
December 2, 20159 yr but isn't SAW reuniting a big thing? I mean Waterman going back to work with the other 2?
December 2, 20159 yr but isn't SAW reuniting a big thing? I mean Waterman going back to work with the other 2? I'd say its a PWL remix than an SAW mix (Waterman and Stock are defo involved) Edited December 2, 20159 yr by Mullo
December 2, 20159 yr On a slightly unrelated note, does anyone know why all the old Kylie SAW stuff isn't available on Spotify, when other SAW stuff from that era is? I was making an old skool pop playlist the other day and was very disappointed that I couldn't include any of Kylie's old stuff
December 2, 20159 yr Wasn't there an '80s sounding' remix of Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love) back in 2011 too? Granted it wasn't SAW but it's not like it's a new concept for Kylie.

December 2, 20159 yr Here's the mix, it is indeed SAW and not PWL! b2_HFWUVznI It's great but I'm not sure why it would be a contender for Xmas No.1? Kylie hasn't had a hit in a long time and this seems as if it will be fairly niche in appeal.
December 2, 20159 yr The chimey bit at about 2:10 is the same as Bananarama's I heard a rumour at about the same time frame! Suppose it's allowed to steal off yourself! Just realised my pic below is very pertinant to this thread! Edited December 2, 20159 yr by stebags
December 2, 20159 yr Interesting, and a nice thing to have for the fans. Obviously this won't be a contender for Christmas number one, and whoever wrote that article is simply trying to hype her up because of Kylie's name.
