Since the 2 semi final system was introduced in 2008, only 4 countries have appeared in every final (the big 5 excepted). Which do you think will be the first to break their impressive streak? Will it happen in Stockholm?

 

Are there any songs from these countries that you feel shouldn't have made the final?

 

Interesting to note that despite Scandinavia winning 50% of the contests since 2008, none feature though Denmark and Iceland would've appeared here as well if they hadn't DNQ'd this year.

I'd like to say Romania, because their quality control has been lacking recently, but then they pretty much always finish top five in the semi whatever they send, so who knows.

I'd say Azerbaijan since cracking down on bribing. Weren't they around 9th in a semi once? :unsure:

 

My preference though would be Greece who have made it through with some horrid entries (Opa) or maybe Russia (grannies!!)

9th in 2014 and 10th this year, though they beat Malta by 10 points.

 

I think Azerbaijan could see themselves missing out on a final soon, especially if they carry on sending dull ballads. My preference would be Romania though, Their 2008, 2011 and 2015 entries should've stayed in the semis.

I'd say it will be Azerbaijan (what with all the shady dealings seeming to have been stopped) but it ought to be Romania who've got through with some utter drekh

I think it's only a matter of time until Romania fail considering Moldova are on such a bad run and they are almost the same country, so they get my vote. Azerbaijan are also getting closer and closer to failing so they'll need to sort themselves out for the massive semi finals we'll have in 2016.

 

If we included Bosnia and Ukraine, my overall vote would go to Bosnia. 2013 proved that even with a lot of former Yugoslavian countries participation, all of them can fail to qualify in one go! And judging by Bosnia's 2016 artists, I'm not expecting too much and could seem them DNQing next year.

Azerbaijan. Bosnia and Romania seem to be weirdly invulnerable, Ukraine will never and I think if Greece were going to DNQ ever it would have happened one of the last two years. The change in situation for Azerbaijan plus less of the shadiness makes them susceptible. I think.

Russia dnqing does not compute.

 

My vote went to Azerbaijan based on recent results but I don't think Romania are too far away, they haven't set the leaderboard alight in a while.
