#77: Bronski Beat - Smalltown Boy

Year of release: 1984

Chart Run: {73-x49-37-26-10-11-13-21-26-24-11-6-4-11-18-23-24-25-30-34-42-58-85}

Peak: #4

Another 80s classic now with Bronski Beat's Smalltown Boy. This originally spent a week at #73 in 2014 but re-entered in 2015, making the top 10 on two separate occasions:the second was in the build up to Ireland's vote on gay marriage (which thankfully resulted in a Yes majority and legalisation of gay marriage! Hooray!)

#76: Sam Smith - Writing's On The Wall

Year of release: 2015

Peak: #3

Just missing the top 75 is the theme to Spectre, Writing's On The Wall. Although it pales in comparaison to Skyfall, it's still quite good and a vast improvement over the Comic Relief version of Lay Me Down. I can't believe some people actually think this is the worst Bond theme. Does no one remember the atrocious Die Another Day and Another Way To Die?

Foxes appears for the fourth time with the glorious If You Leave Me Now, which, excluding Body Talk, is by far her best song this era. In the new year it has taken a few harsh falls, but it looks like it's slowly recovering.

Ella Henderson again, this time with the glorious Giants, by far the highlight of the five deluxe edition-only songs. Such a great track.

Pieces is, after Empire, the missed single of the album. Lots of people thought it was one of the best album tracks, and I really wish the era could have gone on longer, and this and Empire should have been singles aswell.

And we have Ella Henderson again with the beautiful All Again. This was one of my favourites on first listen of the album, and 15 months later it's still fabulous.

#71: John Newman - Come And Get It

Peak: #8

Weeks on top 100: 18

And we remain with artists whose debut album was my favourite of its year, with John Newman's Come And Get It in 71th place. Unfortunately this had a rather rapid descent down the chart, exiting the top 40 after just 5 weeks when fellow entry that week How Deep Is Your Love is still in this week's top 40, despite being vastly inferior.

#70: Galantis - Peanut Butter Jelly

Peak: #9

At #70 Galantis make their first out of two appearances with the utterly bonkers Peanut Butter Jelly. It may be slightly unusual, but it's really infectious and a really good song.

#69: OMI - Cheerleader [Felix Jaehn Remix]

Year of release: 2014

Chart Run: {54-36-30-25-7-5-4-5-14-25-33-28-31-35-47-53-50-58-72-75-75-72-73-75-95}

Peak: #4

Weeks on top 100: 25

One of the biggest successes of 2015 now, Cheerleader was a really big hit with me and spent 4 weeks in my top 10. Even today it still sounds fantastic. Hula Hoop was really good aswell, it's a shame that didn't do well.

At #68 we have Fleur East with the fantastic Sax, which unfortunately has a rather terrible video. It has currently spent 10 weeks in my top 40, and follow-up More & More is looking to do big things aswell.

At #67 we have MNEK & Zara Larsson with the fantastic Never Forget You. This spent 5 weeks in my top 10, and has currently spent 15 weeks in my top 40. Zara Larsson has another song yet to appear.

#66: Ed Sheeran & Rudimental - Bloodstream

Peak: #12

Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 29

Ed Sheeran and Rudimental now with Bloodstream, a song which spent over half a year in my chart. Despite its relatively short chart run (by Ed Sheeran standards, anyway) it is a really good song and remix. Ed Sheeran has two songs yet to appear.

Bloodstream is decent and MNEK/Zara is great. Sax is fairly good, but I didn't get fully into it. Cheerleader is amazing :wub: :music: and PBJ was a late grower for me.

I liked the Foxes song but she has done better! Sam Smith tho :zzz: sounds just like Lay Me Down which was already a decent cure for insomnia :kink:

I love Carly's track :wub:

Ella Henderson appears again with her second single Glow. Obviously it isn't as good as Ghost but it's still a good track. Fingers crossed for a new album this year!

#63: Tinie Tempah featuring Jess Glynne - Not Letting Go

Peak: #6

The best song of June 2015 now, here we have Tinie Tempah and Jess Glynne with the fantastic Not Letting Go. Such an summery tune, and it should have finished at least top 5 in the Tinie Tempah rate.

#62: Louisa Johnson - Forever Young

Year of release: 2015

Chart Run: {1-1-5-9-23-31...}

Peak: #1

Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 2

Next we have the massive flop that was this year's X Factor Winner's single, Louisa Johnson's cover of Forever Young. It's a shame really that she couldn't do better (or get a better song) because she is definitely the best winner for a long time, and this would kill off her career before it even starts. I hope I'm completely wrong there.

#61: Years & Years - Eyes Shut

Peak: #2

Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 32

Just missing the top 60 is Years & Years with the beautiful Eyes Shut. Although it missed out on number one due to Hello, it has had a very healthy run. And don't let last week's 11 place drop fool you, it hasn't lost popularity.

#60: Zara Larsson - Lush Life

Year of release: 2015

Chart Run: {1-3-6-7-7-5-14-6...}

Peak: #1

Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 4

At #60 we have Zara Larsson with the fabulous Lush Life, which has all the makings of a fantastic pop song, and I hope this is a massive hit because it really deserves to be. It has currently spent 7 weeks of its 8 weeks in the top 10, the expection being last week when it crashed down 9 places to #14 (no, I didn't go off it for a week).

#59: Little Mix featuring Jason Derulo - Secret Love Song

Year of release: 2015

Chart Run: {9-2-3-3-1-3-4-6-3-11-5...}

Peak: #1

Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 7

Little Mix with Jason Derulo now with the beautiful Secret Love Song, which knocked Lush Life off number one. It has currently spent 10 of its 11 weeks in the chart in the top 10, the expection being last week when it fell 8 places to #11. Could it return to #1? We shall see, but it has fierce competition.
