Another dance track now, at #29 we have Galantis with the fantastic Runaway (You & I). This spent 17 weeks in my top 40. It's a really euphoric track, and I can't wait to hear more from Galantis.

At #28 we have Jess Glynne with the fantastic Hold My Hand. I still remember the day when I first heard this beauty, two months before it was released. See, that's what was so good about the pre-order age: you could watch a song build up momentum before being released. Personally, I miss pre-orders; the chart was a lot better when they were in place.

#27: DJ Fresh featuring Ella Eyre - Gravity

Year of release: 2015

Chart Run: {18-11-1-3-4-6-6-8-11-13-14-17-20-26-37-39-40-48-58-65-76-68-73-76-75-98-95-94-95-94-65-52-55-73-88-98-x11-95}

Peak: #1

Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 36

After two abominations (not the two songs immediately preceding this of course), this was a return to form for DJ Fresh. Featuring the vocals of Ella Eyre, this was the biggest hit of the year for both artists, and actually outlasted Louder and Hot Right Now to become the DJ Fresh single with the longest top 40 run.

#26: Sigala featuring Bryn Christopher - Sweet Lovin'

Year of release: 2015

Chart Run: {89-100-68-45-46-41-8-1-4-6-7-5-2-1-4-3...}

Peak: #1

Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 12

Sigala beats DJ Fresh to the #26 spot in this countdown (I don't think he's too mad at him for that, after all they collaborated on his next single). I actually prefer this to Easy Love now, and it spent another week at number one in January 2016. For the past two weeks it's also held the distinction of being the highest song in my chart not to be by David Bowie, so perhaps if he hadn't died, this could have been my number for four non-consecutive weeks?

#25: Foxes - Body Talk

Chart Run: {3-4-8-12-14-7-6-5-7-10-14-17-25-30-37-35-41-48-57-63-67-78-88-92-89-66-58-53-49-43-60-83-100...}

Peak: #3

Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 29

Kicking off the top 25 is Foxes with the disco-esque Body Talk. Somewhat amusingly, its position here is also its peak position in the UK chart. Yes, this peaked at #25 and spent only two weeks in the top 40. Which means one of the best tracks of the year and the second worst "song" of the year peaked at the same position. Rather frustratingly, that song spent longer in the charts and had international success, while this gem ended up completely forgotten.

#24: Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars - Uptown Funk

2014 EOY: #82

The biggest hit of the year lands in at #24 here. Again, a catchy song that anyone can dance to, but I do hope the tradition of the first number one of the year being the year's biggest seller, aka I don't want Love Yourself to be the biggest seller of 2016.

#23: Sigma featuring Paloma Faith - Changing

And another song to have spent the entire year in the top 100! At #23 we have Sigma with Changing, which is another great song by them, with the vocals of Paloma Faith. An absolutely fantastic track.

#22: Karen Harding - Say Something

Peak: #2

Weeks on top 100: 33

It may have been the only one of the four top 20 new entries in the week it entered to be listenable, but Say Something is a really great tune which thankfully got a decent bout of success, spending 3 months in the top 40. It's been almost a year and it still sounds great.

Just missing out on spending a second year in the top 20 is Ella Henderson's Ghost. This is the track which made her famous, and 18 months later it's still fantastic. This will become a classic.

Kicking off the top 20 is Sigala with the ultra-joyous Easy Love. Sampling the Jackson 5's ABC, this spent a week at number one in my chart.

Peak: #2

Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 42

At #19 we have Ed Sheeran with the beautiful Photograph. Despite peaking at #15 in the UK chart, it still spent 22 weeks in the top 40, and every one of those weeks was more than deserved. This is absolutely fabulous.

So many class tracks :music:

Good to see Sigala doing well, and I LOVED Say Something for a long time, also Photograph is great :D

#18: Ed Sheeran - Don't

Year of release: 2014

Peak: #7

Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 46

2014 EOY: #104

At #18 we have Ed Sheeran's Don't, which is, for me, the best song off X and possibly even Ed's best. This spent 35 weeks in the official top 40, despite peaking at #8, and on my chart it spent 45 weeks in my top 40 in total. Unfortunately what is allegedly its response song (Ellie Goulding's On My Mind) didn't exactly set my chart alight (it peaked at #27 and spent 6 weeks in my top 40).

#17: Wiz Khalifa featuring Charlie Puth - See You Again

Peak: #1

Weeks on top 100: 30

At #17 we have Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth with See You Again from Fast & Furious 7. This was one of the biggest hits of 2015, and deservedly so as it is a beautiful song and a lovely tribute to Paul Walker. Wiz Khalifa hasn't yet followed this up, and Charlie Puth's follow-up didn't really set my chart alight (it peaked at #33 and spent 8 weeks in my top 100).

At #16 we have Little Mix with Weird People. I really hope this is a single, as it's an absolutely fantastic jam. The verses and the chorus is excellent, and that last chorus just makes me want to dance. It's currently spent 14 weeks in my chart, with only the last two being lower than #13.

Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 8

Sigma & Rita are next with the fantastic Coming Home, which is really, for the latter, a massive return to form after the lackluster Poison and Body On Me. This has spent 11 weeks in my top 10, although it has taken a bit of a hit in the last two weeks due to the Bowie invasion.

At #14 we have Adele's comeback Hello. This spent two weeks at number one for me, and although it has dropped quite a lot during these past two weeks, it's still fantastic. This will become a classic.

Peak: #7

Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 38

At #13 we have Marlon Roudette with When The Beat Drops Out, which is the final song in this countdown not to have reached #1 on my personal chart. Despite peaking at #7, it almost half a year in my top 40 and 13 additional weeks in my top 100, also re-entering for two weeks at the beginning of this year.

Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 17

At #12 we have Taylor Swift with Wildest Dreams, a song which criminally only reached #40 in the UK chart. This spent 2 weeks at number one, and 10 weeks in my top 10. For me, this is definitely her best.

WHAT!!!??? *.* How did I not know he had an album just around the corner!!!?? :o  must listen to it asap when it's released!

I don't hate Jealous but it's extremely poor by Labrinth's standards. It isn't just that his genre of music in Jealous is different to his others (Beneath Your Beautiful is a great track for example) but this one has poor lyrics, next to nothing in terms of instruments and he doesn't even sing too well either. And to make it worse it succeeded very well in the iTunes chart, constantly climbing up whenever someone sang it on X Factor or whatever it was  :drama: only good thing about it for me is that it keeps him relevant today :P

Surprised how low Yours is :o I wasn't that keen on it at first but grew to like it quite a bit!

Comeback is a very good Ella Eyre track as well.

It's called Cloud Nine (I think) and it's out on February 12th.

Thanks for commenting!

Afraid to Love being my favourite of that bunch there  I prefer Alone No More a bit more though!

Alone No More is terrible though :(

I don't really get the hate for 'Superheroes' myself. It is a good track from them.

I know right? Unfortunately they seem to be really unpopular around here these days. Thanks for the comment!
