#16: Taylor Swift - Wildest Dreams

At #16 we have the fantastic video which some bellends got in a strop about for no good reason. Wildest Dreams is a beautiful video, thanks to the vision of Joseph Kahn. I can also a theme here, with Taylor Swift changing her hair colour in every video since Style. Anyway, this is a masterpiece and it's a shame it didn't help the song do better.

#15: Years & Years - Eyes Shut

Proving Years & Years are experts in the art of the music video, Eyes Shut is another great video from them, filmed on the outskirts of Sofia. It also includes quite a few subtle references, some of I may not have even noticed myself.

:lame: #8: Skrillex & Diplo feat. Justin Bieber - Where Are U Now

The eighth worse video of the year goes to Where Are U Now. The video features scribbles from many people, and that they had completely different ideas shows. And the results aren't pretty. And the video itself is uninteresting.

#14: Disclosure - Jaded

(Warning: not for people with epilepsy)

At #14 we have the final chapter in the Caracal Series of videos, and by far the best. I love the futuristic theme, and the special effects, and the constant flashes from dark to light to dark in the second chorus.

#13: Sigala feat. Bryn Christopher - Sweet Lovin'

Sigala is at #13 with the video for Sweet Lovin'. This has to be one of the most colourful videos ever, and colours are always a good thing. I think the fact the song shot from #41 to #8 in my personal chart the week the video was released says it all.

:lame: #7: Sam Smith feat. John Legend - Lay Me Down

At #7 we have the video for the Comic Relief version of Lay Me Down (not the beautiful video for the solo version). We only see the two performing (this isn't always a bad thing), John Legend looks like the piano is electrocuting him in the pre-chorus, but the worst must at the end when those kids yell "THANK YOU!!!!!!" in a way that seems to have the intention of making you deaf.

Sigala, Taylor, Years and Years and Disclosure all really lovely songs

Where R U Now video isnt bad just doesnt make sense

#12: Avicii - Broken Arrows

Broken Arrows may not be a good song, but that doesn't mean its accompanying video isn't great. It's a great story, you can actually warm up to the characters in it, and it's great to see the father win a medal at the end.

#11: Philip George - Wish You Were Mine

Here we have Philip George with the video of Wish You Were Mine. It is fun, the dancer has some great moves, and it's well-crafted. It's just a shame that the Alone No More was cheap, but then again, that song itself was cheap, so I guess it's fitting.

:lame: #6: Flo Rida feat. Robin Thicke - I Don't Like It, I Love It

At #6 we have the generic video for I Don't Like It, I Love It. You need to scratch out everything after the comma to find my opinion on both the song and the video. In fact, this video made me constantly skip this and scroll the music channels to find something better. A similar phenomenon, unrelated to its music video, happened with Waiting For Love. Before long, whenever either song came on I'd switch channels immediately.

#10: Jess Glynne - Don't Be So Hard On Yourself

At #10 we have the fantastic music video for Don't Be So Hard On Yourself. The story is compelling, you can really root for the boy, and the street show part brings back memories of a street show I did with my class once.

#9: Adele - Hello

The first video shot in IMAX cameras, the music video is in 9th place here. Both Adele and Tristan Wilds perform their roles to perfection, the sepia tone works, and everything has a good retro feel to it.

:lame: #5: Selena Gomez - Good For You

I can't quite explain what is so bad about this one, but I'll have a go anyway. It's quite cheap, you only see Selena trying (and failing) to be erotic and sensual and all that, which makes it uncomfortable to watch, and it's just boring.

Fantastic to see Peanut Butter Jelly, Hello and especially Wildest Dreams all here  All fantastic videos

Agree with you on the Selena video, so terrible!

#8: Florence + The Machine - Queen Of Peace/Long & Lost

At #8 we have the double video for both Queen Of Peace and Long & Lost. The story is compelling, the little boy and the little girl go well together, and it is really well-made. Well done.

#7: Sigma feat. Ella Henderson - Glitterball

This video may not be a masterpiece, but it's one of my favourites because it brings me back to summer. It's so summery, Ella looks stunning, and everything is just fun to watch. Very well done.

:lame: #4: Jason Derulo - Want To Want Me

The fourth worst video of the year goes to the generic video for Want To Want Me. Jason Derulo had never been an expert in music video up until this point (see the even worse Wiggle video) and his videos, with the later exception of the fantastic Cheyenne video, have been quite basic, but this takes basicness to another level. It doesn't help that he kinda looks like Chris Brown in that thumbnail.

WD is quite a relaxing video and song! Not quite as good as SIO/BS/OotW/Style but still rather nice. Especially loved Sam Feldt's remixed Eyes Shut :music:

Disagree with Skriplo  I grew into it later on

Enjoyed the Sigala video! Agre with Sam Smith though, boring video and song, so it is only fitting that it had such a video!

Love most of the Avicii videos! I think ICBTO is my favourite along with the Nights. Love Phillip George one too ^_^ I find Jess looks great in all her videos imo.

Hello's video is quite good, but nothing amazing. Forgot how good the Glitterball video was an just thought WTWM was ok.

#6: Sigala - Easy Love

In sixth place we have Sigala again with the video for Easy Love. I love the dance-off element of it, and it's so fun and colourful, what's not to like?

#5: Years & Years - Shine

From the fun, happy and colourful to the dark, spooky and supernatual. At #5 we have Years & Years's music video for Shine. I love the supernatural and dark theme, and that moment before the second chorus is genuinely surprising if you're paying attention instead of belting it out (which, in my case, isn't often). Really the concept of this music video would be a lot better horror film than any Paranormal Activity film beyond the second.
