December 30, 20159 yr Author Robin Schulz The offense: Prayer In C (with Lilly Wood & The Prick) (2014) JrlfFTS9kGU UK chart peak: #1 Current placing on worst songs of all-time list: #14 The redemption: Sugar (featuring Francesco Yates) bvC_0foemLY UK chart peak: #28 Personal chart peak: #48 Robin Schulz first arrived on the scene with his quite good remix of Waves, before making what is without question one of the worst number ones this country has ever sent to the top, behind only Gangnam Style and Loca People. To turn things around, he clearly needed a good song. The good song came in the form of Sugar, which, while it doesn't make him forgiven for the atrocity that was his remix of Prayer In C, definitely proves he is more than capable of making a very good song.
December 30, 20159 yr Wiggle is off we agree on that :puke: but Fancy and Prayer In C is really really good :heart; Charli's redemption is worse than Fancy by 2000 miles
December 30, 20159 yr Author DJ Fresh The first offence: Earthquake (vs. Diplo featuring Dominique Young Unique) (2013) UJ30WRNXBZ8 UK chart peak: #4 Current placing on worst songs of all-time: #20 The second offence: Dibby Dibby Sound (vs. Jay Fay featuring Ms. Dynamite) (2014) 81Mw7Z9AOkw UK chart peak: #3 Current placing on worst songs of all-time: #30 The first redemption: Make U Bounce (vs. TC featuring Little Nikki) (2014) DlUfVZXLw0 UK chart peak: #10 Personal chart peak: #29 The second redemption: Gravity (featuring Ella Eyre) ujlPY31ZAJQ UK chart peak: #4 Personal chart peak: #1 After making some really good hits during the period of 2010 to 2012, in 2013 DJ Fresh suddenly and unexpectedly made the horrific Earthquake, which featured the vocals of Dominique Young Unique. Early the following year, both released new songs. While Dominique Young Unique teamed up with Le YOUTH to make the fantastic Dance With Me, DJ Fresh got involved with Jay Fay and Ms. Dynamite to make Dibby Dibby Sound, which wasn't quite as bad, but still terrible. In July he finally decided to make something good, aka Make U Bounce, but it was the fantastic Gravity which got him completely redeemed. We also had the really good Flashlight in between.
December 30, 20159 yr I don't mind Prayer In C, it tired on me super quickly though. Sugar is a vast improvement, the best thing Robin Schulz has put his name to
December 30, 20159 yr I find Wiggle really catchy even if the lyrics are awful  Cheyenne is a little weak though and apart from WTWM this year's era is weak on the whole imo. Love Fancy :music: again the lyrics are poor but oh well. Doing is is great but not as amazing. Love PIC of course but Sugar is great not amazing. I love DJ Fresh most of the time but he's been releasing weak stuff since Gravity for me. Earthquake is quite good but so different to his stuff. Love DDS and MUB though :music:
December 30, 20159 yr Author Usher The offense: I Don't MInd (featuring Juicy J) (2015) nSKUXqJ5l1k UK chart peak: #8 Current placing on worst songs of all-time list: #21 The redemption: Don't Look Down (with Martin Garrix) ZW2muvIKNh4 UK chart peak: #9 Personal chart peak: #93 Usher wasn't on a particularly good musical road by the time 2015 dawned, but I Don't MInd has got to be the worst thing he has ever oput his name to. Absolutely awful. So think what a pleasant surprise it was for me (helped by the fact I'm not really a fan Martin Garrix, actually) when his collaboration with Martin Garrix (who was 1 year old when Usher first got to number one in the UK) Don't Look Down, was, without a doubt, one of the best things he has made (and the best Martin Garrix has made aswell). A very, very good track.
December 31, 20159 yr Author Justin Bieber The biggest offence: Baby (featuring Ludacris) (2010) kffacxfA7G4 UK chart peak: #3 Current placing on worst songs of all-time list: #40 The redemption: Sorry fRh_vgS2dFE UK chart peak: #1 Personal chart peak: #23 And last but certainly not least is the redemption of an artist no one would have expected to redeem himself in such a spectacular fashion. When this year started, it seemed as if Justin Bieber had retired from the music business since his announcement on December 25, 2013, and no one was sorry about it. Of course, in April, he came back with the awful Where Are Ü Now, but in August/September, to my surprise, he released the very good What Do You Mean? which, although its 5 weeks at number one were too much, still remains enjoyable after 17 weeks. Any previous material from him couldn't remain enjoyable for 17 seconds. And in October, he released what is so far his career best, the fantastic Sorry. And although Love Yourself's reign at number one is getting boring, it is also a good song.
December 31, 20159 yr Justin Bieber defiantly has redeemed himself  I completely disagree with you however, on DJ Fresh, Dibby Dibby Sound and Earthquake are excellent and just as great as Make U Bounce and Gravity are :D Edited December 31, 20159 yr by MerryFlynnmas
January 1, 20169 yr Author #200: Olly Murs - Seasons pnOdzBWAS5E Year of release: 2014 Chart Run: {61-36-28-37-42-51-62-74-88-96} Peak: #28 Weeks on top 100: 10 Kicking everything off we have Olly Murs with Seasons, the third single from Never Been Better. Admittedly it isn't as good as Wrapped Up or Up, but it's still really good, and a lot better than Stevie Knows. I also find KIss Me to be quite inferior to this. January 1, 20169 yr Author #199: Faithless - Insomnia 2.0. (Avicii Remix) h198WJrquXQ Year of release: 2015 Chart Run: {14-34-67} Peak: #14 Weeks on top 100: 3 While the awful Waiting For Love was riding high in the top 10, Avicii was working on what would be the best thing he'd made in 2015 by quite some distance, and the second out of two decent singles for the year (the first was The Nights). Although it was obviously undermined by the far superior original, which got to #6 off the back of this (and subsequently will be appearing later on) it is still very good, even if it fell down my chart quite rapidly.
January 1, 20169 yr Author #198: Meghan Trainor - All About That Bass 7PCkvCPvDXk Year of release: 2014 Chart run: {23-1-2-3-4-5-6-6-4-4-7-9-11-20-17-21-23-25-34-43-66-87} 2015 Peak: #17 Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 8 2014 EOY: #23 Here we have a holdover from last year in Meghan Trainor's All About That Bass. After spending 11 weeks in the top 10, it started dropping quite fast, but it still held on long enough to spend 8 weeks in the top 100 in 2015, 5 of which were in the top 40. It just holds on to make the EOY top 200 in two years.
January 1, 20169 yr Author #197: Rachel Platten - Fight Song xo1VInw-SKc Year of release: 2015 Chart Run: {60-21-28-26-21-19-25-36-41-48-57-69-86} Peak: #19 Weeks on top 100: 13 At #197 sits Rachel Platten with the anthemic Fight Song, which soared to #21 upon its entry at number one, before being knocked down by a flood of new entries, mainly from the Feline album. During the next three weeks, it slowly recovered, eventually climbing to a peak of #19, which it reached the week its successor Stand By You climbed 16 places to #1, before making a U-turn and leaving the top 40 less than a month afterwards.
January 1, 20169 yr Author #196: Ella Henderson - 1996 zhTIqZOukzk Year of release: 2014 Chart run: {83-88-74-82-89-x3-100-x5-98} 2015 Peak: #98 Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 1 Now, before anyone starts saying that it isn't normal a song having spent a week in the top 100 at #98 to be in front of a song which hit top 20, remember that album tracks are at a disadvantage as they are undermined by the best tracks on their album. Also, a good chunk of their popularity comes from listens to the album, and not of the individual song. Anyway, 1996 is a really nice melodic track about childhood and family. It may be the weakest track on the album, but it's still excellent. Edited January 1, 20169 yr by Taylor Jago
January 1, 20169 yr Author #195: Ella Henderson - Five Tattoos 8IspXD--kg0 Year of release: 2014 Chart Run: {75-87-72-81-88-90-x2-95-x3-99-100-88} 2015 Peak: #88 Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 3 Five Tattoos is another track on the deluxe edition of Chapter One, and comes just after 1996. It's a quiet little love song, but it's really pleasant.
January 1, 20169 yr Author #194: Queen - I Want To Break Free f4Mc-NYPHaQ Year of release: 1984 Chart Run: {94-77-71-70-81-x-89-82-85-87} Peak: #70 Weeks on top 100: 9 At #194 we have the classic I Want To Break Free by the mighty Queen. I first discovered the song after it was used in The Boy In The Dress in December 2014, and it spent a few weeks in my chart. Also, it looks like the video has finally had its "adult content" flag removed. I mean, how is this inappropriate? Quick fact: in the lyrics, three other songs in this top 200 are named. Can you find which ones?
January 1, 20169 yr Author #193: Queen - Don't Stop Me Now HgzGwKwLmgM Year of release: 1979 Chart Run: {98-71-x5-97-74-79-x5-84-78-77-67-60-65-64-73-84-81-94} Peak: #60 Weeks on top 100 in 2014: 13 Queen again, this time with Don't Stop Me Now, with is still great 36 years on. It was recently voted the third greatest Queen song, which is roughly correct.
January 1, 20169 yr Yeah Justin's been one of the biggest redeemers of all time for me with Baby :puke: only #40 on all time for you though? :o All Justin's tracks this year were great though  IDM was just ok but yeah DLD was great :music: Seasons was good but weak effort from Olly. The Insomnia remix was pretty good, the original was much better though. AATB was a long grower but still isn't amazing. Love Fight Song  love Stand by You even more though. Needs to be big and hearing the album very soon  lol at Queen being here
January 2, 20169 yr Author #192: Ella Henderson - Hard Work ZuxucB-W1rk Year of release: 2014 Chart Run: {91-94-78-73-81-70-80-85-89-x-98-91-98-x2-98-96-89} 2015 Peak: #89 Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 4 At #192 we have Ella Henderson with Hard Work. While it is the weakest song on the standard edition of the album, it is still a really nice track.
