Wish I could all take you back to the summer of 1998 and see how much impact Viva Forever had on Spice Girls/pop fans (yeah yeah not all) Geri was just gone but we had 1 5 piece performance at TOTP which was edited so bad that the camera keeps moving away from Geri as if she wasn't there. Viva Forever was for me the anthem of the summer of 1998 but also was the song that marked the end of the Spice mania era a era where everything the girls did turned in gold. If you ask non spice fans which song they remember next to Wannabe it's Viva Forever. It's one of the few Spice Girls songs that is timeless and if it did got released today it still be a hit.

I went for Spice Up Your Life, not tactical, just my least favourite of the three, still good though.

I went for 2 Become 1. Loved it more than the other two at the time but it's the one that's aged the worse. I wasn't too keen on Viva Forever at the time but it is bliss now. It returned them back to mega first week sales after the relative low first weeks for Too Much & Stop.

Only 6 people have admitted to voting for Spice Up Your Life in this thread, compared to 14 for Viva Forever, so I think I'm entitled to feel highly suspicious regarding the number of anonymous votes SUYL has suddenly been picking up!! :o

 

Tbh I'm assuming that a behind the scenes campaign has been orchestrated in an attempt to save Viva Forever. I'm going to point the finger at Maurice, Jonjo & Lee, who have clearly been conspiring via Private Messages. *nods*
