Posted September 25, 200618 yr HMV to stage National Music Week launch Source: MW HMV is to stage an official launch for National Music Week at its Oxford Circus store. The event takes place on Monday October 16, the first day of National Music Week, from 12.30pm at HMV’s flagship store at 150 Oxford Street, London. The launch will feature live performances from All Angels and Matt Willis, who both feature on the My Music promotion CDs, and is hosted by Myleene Klass. A “senior Government figure†will also attend, according to HMV, and the audience will be made up from pupils from local schools. National Music Week is an initiative from the BPI, Era and the Government-sponsored Music Manifesto to encourage school pupils to listen to a diverse range of music. Under the banner of “My Music†pupils in participating schools will receive vouchers that can be exchanged in record stores for one of ten exclusive CDs.
