SO pleased Froot made it into the top 10! (I would have said it is an underrated song but clearly not :kink:)

 

This song is crazy, but incredible all at the same time. It also is the reason every time someone says the word "fruit" my mind just goes la la la la LA LA

I found 'Froot' an interesting track in that for months I was always discovering something new and brilliant about it every time I heard it. So many layers and niggly little hooks.

Froot is so close to becoming my REAL fav of hers. all of the songs on that album rly do creep up on you.

I thought Froot would have been higher! :o

Winning the video of the year award at Popjustice, is Blue. A Happy song about being sad. The opposite of 'Happy'. The thing that makes Blue for me is it's production, which I absolutely love, especially the opening. This is the first of two songs from FROOT that I really think could have been moderate hits, and really sold the album. The second of these two is still to come.

Blue is good but coming after the first three songs on the album is a bit of a comedown. I sometimes skip it. It's better than Forget or Gold.

I never really managed to get into 'Obsessions'. :(

 

'Blue' became my favourite from FROOT after seeing the video, really sold it to me.

The middle part of Obsessions is still her best piece of music.

I'm glad Happy made the top ten although I would have liked it to be a bit higher, pleased with Obsessions' placing too as it's one of my faves :wub:

In some ways, I'm A Ruin would be great winning but it feels a bit soon? Hollywood probably out of the rest but I'd love it if Oh No or Mowgli's Road could.

 

I think I might have finally been able to get into Obsessions lately, so chilled and beautiful.

 

Hollywood - seriously overrated

I'm a Ruin - her best since TFJ

Mowgli's Road - Her second best

Oh No! - her Best

Radioactive - a lot better than when I first heard it

 

That's a solid top 5, they're 5 defining Marina tracks and all brilliant.

 

Backing 'Radioactive' to win but don't mind if it doesn't.
