Posted December 31, 20159 yr With the transfer window set to open on Saturday. I thought that I might start as well start this thread. Where do you think the biggest moves are going be? A thread here to post any transfers or rumours and discussion on who will go where.
December 31, 20159 yr I can predict Leicester definetly signing someone in the window (as they're probably desperate to keep their Champions League spot now the opportunity is there). Other than that, it's hard to predict who will go where. The only real rumours we see in the press are either obscure and far fetched at the moment. I assume Sunderland will sign that defender from Ligue 1, and also I expect West Ham to get Lanzini on a permanent deal. ((oh, and also, if I have the time I'll post confirmed moves and the like)) Edited December 31, 20159 yr by mdh
December 31, 20159 yr There's loads of good Premier League players that are wasting away on benches - really wouldn't be surprised if there aren't a few similar moves to that of Remy. I can't see any of the big clubs making many transfers, if they are it will be punts/young players. Most teams will wait until summer I would expect.
January 1, 20169 yr The first big move of the January Transfer Window, Bournemouth have nabbed Juan Iturbe from Roma on loan until May, with the option of a permanent deal at the end of the season. What a deal for a club like them! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35210497?
January 2, 20169 yr Rumour is going around that Demarai Gray of Birmingham is set to move to Leicester in a £3.7 million deal. as a Birmingham fan I'm annoyed by this as he pledged his future to the Blues in the summer >:( ~~ and he wasn't in the squad today for the game which suggests a transfer will happen.
January 2, 20169 yr Author A deal has apparently been agreed for Gray with Birmingham City although he'll possibly be loaned back until the end of the season. We'll see what happens there.
January 3, 20169 yr Gary Rowett has released a statement concerning Gray, saying he needs to fufill his ambitions etc etc. So looks like the deal will be set in stone then.
January 4, 20169 yr January is invariably a let down. Every few years there's an exception to the rule which justifies the delirium (2011, obviously). If we can bag Lanzini on a permanent deal I don't think we'll need anything else. This summer is the big one.
January 5, 20169 yr Might as well bump this up because one way or another we will be bringing a centre-back in before the Arsenal game.
January 6, 20169 yr Liverpool have signed Marko Grujic from Red Star Belgrade for £5.1 million. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35244115
January 6, 20169 yr Author Grujic will return to Red Star Belgrade on loan until the end of the season and then join in July.
January 6, 20169 yr Seems like a good signing, buying potential more than anything. Be interesting to see how it works out.
January 8, 20169 yr Author Adnan Januzaj has been recalled from his season-long loan at Borussia Dortmund.
January 10, 20169 yr Adnan Januzaj has been recalled from his season-long loan at Borussia Dortmund. Earlier in the season, before problems worsened, I longed for him back. A direct, creative player who has a natural instinct to run at full backs. Now I'm just waiting for whatever resourcefulness he has about him to be squashed out and stifled into the system of the 'philosophy'.
January 12, 20169 yr Newcastle United have agreed a £12m deal with Swansea for Jonjo Shelvey. He will improve them, seems to have lost form entirely though after an excellent start to the season. £12m for an England international is a snip. Liverpool have signed Steven Caulker on loan!
January 14, 20169 yr http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35308910? Arsenal have signed Mohamed Elneny.
January 14, 20169 yr Liverpool have signed Steven Caulker on loan! Seems like Liverpool's 'Roger Johnson' moment.
