Listening to radio 1 right now and they're editing a lot of the songs by either cutting out the 2nd verse or middle eight, if they played songs like that in the chart show they could probably fit in the top 30!!! We can only hope. (or even better, actually play all the new entries and cilmbers, but that would actually require thinking and effort which R1 clearly don't have much of when it comes to the chart show)

This just seems to be the standard for the New Music Friday element of the day so they can cram in as much as possible, but you're right it's a good idea for it to crossover into the chart show. Last weeks chart with just Prince and Beyoncé entries was highly unnecessary.
