I've provided it a couple of listens and it's nice and cute.

I actually love the bridge before the chorus and the oh la la in the chorus but the verses in the chorus don't seem to go with the chorus, especially with "Just keep staring at the moon" It's not a hit but it's a nice little album track.

Miles better than anything from Vanessa though, Can they release in the same week so we can see who actually sells a copy?

It's a bit blandish, but I don't think it's a bad song by any means.

I don't exactly have an opinion on which material is the best from Una or Vanessa. In both cases, I feel a bit underwhelmed, although I do think there was more thoughts put into making Una's song catchy than there ever was with Vanessa's material which don't have that much replay value unless you are Totto.

I'm glad she's releasing music, though!

I love it! I was there last night (sat in front of Ben who is even more big & beautiful in the flesh!!) and in the ad breaks Una was interacting with the audience alot and you could tell she was nervous.

It sounded great in the studio and I wish they showed a bit more of the audience in the video because everyone was really clapping and swaying along, and the "ooh la la la la la" was very catchy we were all singing along by the end

It is definitely an album track not a lead single but I think her aim was to showcase the general direction her music will be going, and she did it well! Spoke to her manager as well he said the album will be out the end of the summer and she has loads of Irish and British things lined up for promo

Good to hear! Did you speak to Peter or Adam? They do seem to still be involved in her management.

Very bland, not quite what I expected from Una. Maybe I'll like the polished studio version better...

I was really cautious about the sound she'd go for and based on the snippet I posted but I am quite enjoying this on my second and third listens! For now I'm maintains my position she's the best songwriter of the girls!

Aw that's great to hear about UK plans also :)! Imo promo on UK tv shows can sometimes be better promo than Irish ones here (The Voice UK winner's single charted higher than last year's Irish winner I think!) I agree with others that it has definitely grown on me but it isn't single worthy despite it's catchiness. I actually think this sound is a smart choice Irish wise as country/pop is very popular here.Nathan Carter Wagon Wheel was one of the biggest songs last year which is a similar genre. I'm also confident that Una is a big enough name now to get good radioairplay and Irish TV promotion and can see her attracting an older audience as well.

I'm really pleased to hear she's gonna plug her work, because I am getting with the vibe sound wise based off her performance last night

I think I'll like the studio version, the chorus is quite catchy.

Better than Vanessa's songs ? I'm done with you guys.

I'm really pleased to hear she's gonna plug her work

If there's one thing Una can do it's shamelessly plug a product  I'm really impressed with that song and performance. It's quite interesting for that genre. I do hope for one or two pop tracks though.

So true! LMAO!

I hope we get some pop bobs too, because based on SATM it was quite upbeat for the style she's going for, so I don't think they'd sound out of place!

I really like it, it's exactly the kind of thing I could see Una doing and actually having a bit of success with. Her singing/performing were good too. I'm excited to see what else she has, its definitely got me a lot more excited than Vanessa has.

I wonder how many viewers there were the night of the performance?

EDIT: 329,000. She should've put it on iTunes immediately.

Yes, but if the video's been watched only 19k times despite it being avalaible worldwide AND considering apparently the last winner single of The Voice sold 98 copies (98!!!), maybe it was for the best that she's waiting for"bigger" (better?) promo slots.

Yeah, I guess. I just figure if it's going to be a buzz track or album track anyway then why not put it up for sale? Una could probably make 98 loaves of brown bread with those sales. Also, I'm pretty sure 98 sales would be enough to get her into the Top 10 on iTunes for a few hours. I'd be curious to know how much a song has to sell in order to make the official Irish Top 10. I'm guessing 1,000 or so?

I really love this track and I don't even think it would make a bad single, at least in Ireland only.

Not releasing the track has to be a conscious decision, because they have taken off iTunes and Spotify her Sorry EP, so they are definitely not interested in the revenue they could get until they launch the campaign in full force.
Just reading an interview Una did with Irish Independent out today claiming "Una has just signed a record deal with universal in the UK"

Edited by P@ul

Oh wow, very surprised she managed a record deal especially over Vanessa.
