Balvin) Released in 2014 it was 39 in the 2014 Year End Countdown peaking at 7 on my chart but it re-emerged for a second stint in 2015 and peaked at 6 with 20 weeks in total on my chart. J. Balvin was 66 in the 2013 Year End Countdown with "Tranquila" and 71 on the 2015 countdown with "Ginza"

39. Faded (Alan Walker) 18 year end Norwegian producer was number one on my chart at the year end following the biggest climb of the year. Destined to be a big international hit in 2016

38. Goodbye (Feder ft Lyse) French DJ who got to number one in France with this track and had success all over mainland Europe.

37. La mordidita (Ricky Martin ft Yotuel) Puerto Rican star who had hits such as "Maria", "Livin la vida loca" and "She bangs". "La mordidita" was a big pan Latin hit

36. Ofeshe (Harrysong) Nigerian singer used the hook of "La Bamba" on this track which peaked at 2 on my chart

35. Roma-Bangkok (Baby K ft Giusy Ferreri) Italian rap singer raised in London and featuring the 2014 winner of Italian X Factor was number one for 11 weeks with this song and its success spilled over into other European countries and North Africa.

34. Christine (Christine and the Queens) French singer who peaked at 3 in France but peaked at 2 on my chart

33. You're so beautiful (Empire Cast ft Jussie Smollett) Higher of two tracks from the hit US TV series Empire. Reached number one for one week on my chart

32. Nothing left (Kygo ft Will Heard) Second of four tracks on the countdown from the Norwegian DJ. The song features British soul and jazz singer Will Heard

31. Hold back the river (James Bay) UK singer songwriter peaked at 2 in the UK with this song

30. Don't be shy(Filatov and Karas remix) (Imany) French singer who has had only minor success in France but is huge in Russia where this track was the biggest hit of the year

29. Reality (Lost Frequencies) Higher of two by Belgian act repeating the success of "Are you with me". Only peaked at 7 on my chart but spent 17 weeks in the Top 20

28. Love yourself (Justin Bieber) Highest placed of three tracks by the Canadian singer on my chart. It was co-written by Ed Sheeran. In December the track was top for 2 weeks on my chart and in the month of December "What do you mean", "Sorry" and "Love yourself" were dominating charts all over the world

27. Ex's and Oh's (Elle King) US singer's debut single peaked at 10 in the US and was number one on my chart for 2 weeks in October

26. Writings on the wall (Sam Smith) Sam Smith's Bond movie film was number 2 for three weeks in November

25. Lay me down (Sam Smith/John Legend) 4th track from "In the lonely hour" to chart with "Stay with me", "I'm not the only one" and "Leave your lover" being 6, 17 and 32 respectively on my 2014 Year End Countdown. "Lay me down" was re-recorded as a charity single featuring John Legend

24. Higher place (Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike ft Neyo) Belgian DJ duo was top for 7 weeks in Flanders with this song and reached number 2 in my chart in October

23. Marvin Gaye(Charlie Puth ft Meghan Trainor) Highest of three tracks on my chart by Charlie Puth and first of two by Meghan Trainor. The song reached number three on my chart in July taking 13 weeks to get there

22. Hotline bling (Drake) Canadian singer/rapper sampled Timmy Thomas' 1973 track "Why can't we live together" on his 2015 hit. Of his 85 singles to date he has only charted for me twice but "Hold on we're going home" was 9 on my 2013 Year End Countdown

21. Lean on (Major Lazer & DJ Snake ft Mo) Higher of two tracks on my chart for Major Lazer who was also 51 on my 2013 Countdown with "Watch out for this" and 91 with "Get free". "Lean on" was one of the world's biggest sellers of 2015 and had over 1 billion youtube views
