Firestone (Kygo ft Conrad Sewell) Third out of four tracks in this countdown for Kygo. The song first entered my chart in 2014 and was placed at 56 on the 2014 year end countdown. It only peaked at 3 but by the end of 2015 it had spent 29 weeks inside the Top 20 in two separate runs. 9Sc-ir2UwGU 18. Earned it (Weeknd) First of two inside the Top 20 of the countdown for the Canadian singer. It is also the first of two from the film of Fifty Shades of Grey and was number two for two weeks on my chart in March xe_iCkFsQKE 17. Like I'm gonna lose you (Meghan Trainor/John Legend) This ballad topped the charts in Australia and spent three weeks atop my chart in August. Wasn't expecting that (Jamie Lawson) British singer/songwriter originally had a hit in Ireland with this in 2011. Uptown Funk (Mark Ronson ft Bruno Mars) This track first charted with me in November 2014 and was at 9 in my 2014 Year End Countdown. Its reign at the top extended to 7 weeks in 2015 and spent a total of 25 weeks in the Top 20. Taking 2014 and 2015 this track would have ended number for the two years combined. In the US "Uptown Funk" sold over 6 million and was 14 weeks at number one the joint second longest run ever. Over the past 5 years Bruno Mars would be favourite artist.. On the 2013 countdown "Treasure" was 44, "Gorilla" 50 and "Moonshine" 97, on the 2012 countdown "When I was your man" was at 5, "Locked out of heaven" 11 and "Young Girls" 36, on the 2011 countdown "It will rain" was 9, "Liquor Store Blues" 24, "Lazy song" 30, "Talking to the moon" 39 and "Marry you" 49 and on the 2011 countdown "Grenade" was 9 and "Just the way you are" 10 OPf0YbXqDm0 6. Parfum (Prince Koloni) The higher of two reggae songs in the Top 20 Countdown for 2015. Prince Koloni is a Surinaam singer and his track "Parfum" was top of my chart for five weeks in September and October 2015 spending 19 weeks in the Top 20. EQvIFW6U2IY 3. El Perdon (Nicky Jam/Enrique Iglesias) This was not only the biggest Latin hit of the year for the US reggaeton singer Nicky Jam and his pairing with Enrique Iglesias with whom he later re-recorded the track but was a massive worldwide hit going number one in over 25 countries and with a combined youtube viewing of over 1 billion. On my chart it spent 4 weeks at number one in March and April and spent 22 weeks in my Top 20 in two separate chart runs. hXI8RQYC36Q 2. 7 years (Lukas Graham) Second appearance on the Year End Countdown for this Danish band and the fantastic voice the lead singer after whom the band is named. The track was number one in both Denmark and Sweden and on my chart it was number one for 2 weeks in August and was 27 weeks in the Top 20 by the year end K05e_5BNMxE 1. Love me like you do (Ellie Goulding) Number one on my countdown is one of the biggest global hits of the year with over 1 billion youtube views. The song from the soundtrack of the film of Fifty Shades of Grey topped my chart for 5 weeks topped my chart for five weeks and was 15 weeks in my Top 10 AJtDXIazrMo Commentary : "Love me like you do" ends 2015 as my number one song of the year having spent 5 weeks at the top but "Uptown Funk"'s 7 weeks at the top spanned the end of 2014 into 2015 and ended at 7 in the 2015 rundown having been at 9 in the 2014 countdown. Several other tracks similarly appeared in both year's countdowns "Thinking out loud", "Firestone", "Ay vamos", "Are you with me", "Derech hashalom" and "Cheerleader" which has now appeared on the countdowns of three consecutive years. 27 of the tracks are productions from the USA (28 in 2014 and 27 in 2013 so remarkably stable), 14 are from the UK (17 in 2014 and 16 in 2013 again very stable), 7 from France (6 in 2014 and 5 in 2013), 8 from both Sweden and Norway - altogether 18 from Scandanavia more than from the UK - 7 from Canada and 5 from Belgium. Altogether 23 countries are represented in the Top 100 (29 in 2014 and 28 in 2013).
