FOX are rebooting 24 but without Jack Bauer as the lead.

Could work I don't know. What I do know is Jack Bauer will surely show up at some point.

Seems like a good idea, financially at least. The last limited series did well, but Kiefer obv costs a fortune, so if they can do it without him and get similar ratings (which is obv the gamble) then why not.

That's too bad as 24: LAD ended on a cliffhanger. I'd like to see it continue even without Kiefer. Now I learn we don't even get Yvonne Strahovski...

Still going to watch it though.

This is about to start on Fox on the 8th Feb.
The non Superbowl inflated premiere got a 1.5, which seems about fair. If it sticks there then they'll bring this back. Looks like the gamble might have paid off.

I'm so out of touch these days with the ratings, but that seems solid. I imagine it will drop a little, but go no lower than a 1.2.

I found the show OK, love he franchise, but all of the twists just seem slightly predictable now. I really like the emphasis on CTU again though. For me though, woth the age of binge viewing, 24 is THE PERFECT concept to be shown on Netflix etc.

I am enjoying watching this on the Fox channel. It has all the intensity and tension of the original series. Having a younger actor in the lead role means there can be more running around. I watched episode 4 last night and I have a quibble with one sequence. The boy from the school has been taken to hospital. His mother arrives at the hospital at 3.34 and she and the doctor enter his room. At 3.41,Amira enters the room and murders him. While I understand that the doctor is busy and would quickly go somewhere else, surely the boy's mother would still be there sitting at his bedside. It's a bit early to slip out to the vending machine.
