I think you have to listen to an album quite a few time to judge it fairly which is why I'm sonetimes sceptical about music reviews as the reviewer has probably heard it once and many albums take time to grow...in the case of Shakira and inparticular Carrie Underwood-they took ages to grow on me but now they are my 2 favourite albums of the year with some brilliant songs on there!!!

 

I agree with Gnarls' album being a letdown bar about 5 or 6 tracks and I'm glad Dannii didn't put out those extra tracks on a studio album as it would have been atrocious...

Have to agre about the Gnarles Barclay album I'm afraid. The two singles and a couple of the album tracks were very goeod, but overall I was very disapointed.

Zero 7's album The Garden on the other hand is simply brilliant.

I have litterally only just bought only my third album this year - Ta-Dah. At £9.99 I guess it's a snip for a bit of Sissor Sisters action :D

Im sorry but you wrong. Dannii is so underrated. Ok a lot of her earlier stuff was $h!t but from the mid 90s to the Neon Nights era she really did make good music

Nelly Furtado - Loose for me, I bought it loving Maneater and Promiscuous, but barring 1 or 2 other tracks I hate it. It's not as R&B as people think, which maybe the reason that I was put off. :lol:

 

I would consider A Girl Like Me one of my FAVOURITE albums of the year. :o I thought Chemistry was great too. ^_^

 

But i'll go along with B-Day and FutureSex/LoveSound though. However Back To Basics is probably my best album this year, I find it utterly flawless. :wub:

Dannii does have her fans and I don't see how her Greatest Hits could be a bad buy. Presumingly, you know the songs before you buy the album. The only surprises on it were the 4 new tracks. Which weren't bad. "Love Fight" was brilliant. Kylie will always be ahead of dannii for miles, but does that meen there is no room for dannii to be good either? Half the songs dannii has released would be excepted more if they were done by Kylie - and I think that is pathetic. When will people just realise that a song can be, just a song

 

Judge the music, not the artist. Many people admit they even liked Paris Hiltons album - yet automaticly they don't want to like it in the first place because of who she is

 

The music does not have to touch your heart for it to be good. Nothing wrong with good old disposable pop music

I know im biased but I couldnt agree more. I dont know how many greatest hits could be a nad buy considering you know pretty much every song befpre you buy it
