Posted September 26, 200618 yr Virgin Music news Albarn plans 'Herculean' new song Damon Albarn's latest musical project, The Good, The Bad And The Queen, are set to release their debut single, titled 'Herculean', on October 30. The Good, The Bad and The Queen consists of former Blur frontman Albarn, who has also been heavily involved in cartoon band Gorillaz, The Clash's bass player Paul Simonon, ex-Verve band member and Blur and Gorillaz guitarist Simon Tong and Fela Kuti drummer Tony Allen. The limited edition single will be released on CD and 7" and deleted on the day of release. Simonon has created the artwork for the single, which depicts "a West London industrial scene", according to band's official website. The Good, The Bad And The Queen will premiere their debut album at the Roundhouse in Camden, London on October 26. The show will be the band's first ever gig and forms part of the BBC's Electric Proms season. The group's debut album, about London and apparently titled 'The Good, The Bad And The Queen', is set for release in January 2007 and will be produced by Danger Mouse.
