2. Gotta Go My Own Way

3. Fabulous

4. You Are The Music In Me (Sharpay Version)

5. Breaking Free

6. Stick To The Status Quo

7. I Want It All

8. Everyday

9. Bop To The Top

10. What Time Is It

Hope those 10 do well, especially When There Was Me And You

Oops didn't get around to this, not seen any of the 3rd movie and only know a few songs from the 2nd. But "You Are The Music In Me" to win!

("Breaking Free" & "Stick To The Status Quo" to round out the top 3)

I wouldn't be against a 'You Are the Music in Me' win Jahq, as long as it's the Sharpay version. The first version is just zzzzzzzz in comparison. In an ideal world, that, 'Scream', 'Now or Never', 'Breaking Free' or 'Stick to the Status Quo' would win!

???

The Sharpay version is AWFUL, completely ruins it and takes away all the beauty of the Troy/Gabriella version.

All righty time to kick things off!!

"I'm way better at saying goodbye than you, Troy."

31.) "Walk Away"

Performed by: Vanessa Hudgens (Gabriella)

Average Score: 05.06

Absolutely fabulous!: 8.5 (Juranamo)

Absolutely... NOT!: -1.0 (Harry)

The Premise: Troy convinces Gabriella to take the Honors program at Stanford, and the two muse on about how life seems to move too fast.

The lowest scoring HSM trilogy song is the last of Gabriella's solo songs, and the last Gabriella trying to break up with lovesick puppy Troy scene. I know people are wondering (or not): why is this so low in the countdown? Does it encapsulate Vanessa's strongest vocals? Maybe. Is it as iconic as the other breakup songs? Not really. And while it does seem like the song is setting up Sharpay as the prime antagonist of the third movie, it almost seems like the true antagonist is time itself. There's naught to worry about though, as our star-crossed lovers end up staying together in the end of the movie, and they have a few more songs left in this countdown anyway.

Another five out: four of them from the third movie. :manson: The third one wasn't that bad, was it?

Kicking things off is the first reprise of the trilogy, featuring Troy (with Drew Seeley's voice, naturally) and Gabriella singing the "original" version of "What I've Been Looking For". This ultimately gained them a callback and ignited a chain reaction that led to everything else that happened in HSM. If "Start Of Something New" was the spark, this reprise would definitely be the fuse.

"Just Wanna Be With You" starts with Ryan asking Kelsi to the prom... successfully, with the rest of the song performed by Troy and Gabriella goofing off at rehearsals. The reprise in Senior Year Spring Musical is a lot more enjoyable though, and we'll get there in a sec.

Now, "Can I Have This Dance"... that was painful. I'm a bit biased because I was a part of my friend's birthday court and we ended up dancing to this song, so this held a special place in my heart for me. For others... it seemed like a cheesy way to ask someone to prom. You have to admit that rain kiss was on point.

"Right Here, Right Now" is IMO the weakest Troyella duet (that isn't a reprise) because it was kinda overshadowed by everything else that happened in the movie and it just felt out of place. It almost seems like an epilogue to the star-crossed lovers' futures in their different worlds. It was kind of a cute moment, though, with the end of the song featuring Gabriella seeing all the toys Troy has in his treehouse. "Now it's just like kindergarten."

"Senior Year Spring Musical": I guess I can condone the low placing because it did contain reprises of the entire first half of the movie, including one beginning interlude which served as the best prologue to the movie as it is. "Now Or Never"'s reprise consisted of Corbin Bleu's vocals in place of Zac's (and he did a way better job with the song than Zac did), "I Want It All" featured a long-awaited Lucas Grabeel SOLO, "Just Wanna Be With You" provided a hilarious element to a song in the same way "Stick To The Status Quo" did (and I fully give Matt Prokop credit for that), and "A Night To Remember" was just the icing on the cake.

Was UV high during her rate because almost every low score is from her.

First up is the last reprise of the movie, in which the ensemble cast sing the last song of HSM as something that wraps up the movie quite nicely. It also featured some touching moments from the cast.

"Get'cha Head In The Game" is the first HSM song Drew Seeley sings in full. It is also the first Troy solo to lose out (mainly because it's not as good as the other two solos he has). It's kinda dated, but that's what the campiness of HSM is for.

Speaking of campiness, both main non-ensemble songs that feature Corbin Bleu are both eliminated here. The less campy "The Boys Are Back" comes first (which subsequently proves that Lotti has the floppiest HSM taste) and the much campier "I Don't Dance" follows. The latter is the first non-ensemble song that features Lucas Grabeel without Ashley Tisdale.

"A Night To Remember" wraps up the next group, which is a nice summary of prom season. For Americans like myself, it's a big deal, but I'm pretty sure y'all found a way around it.

The third film's songs were really shit, the film itself wasn't too bad but the music was the worst of the whole trilogy. I would've voted in this but I quite literally couldn't remember the majority of the third film's songs! Breaking Free to win~

(Yes, I am a relative fan of HSM music, it was sweet ok)

Some HSM2 songs fall out here, while we're left with only one Zac solo left.

"All For One" was kinda the token epilogue number of the sequel, and the choreography featured a TON of partner work, as if it were some type of beach movie. The main 6 get featured parts, of course.

"Scream" marks the token Troy solo of the third movie, in which he muses about being confused with his choices and his future. It features a shirtless Zac (although it's just his back, it counts), and falling basketballs. Kinda dangerous. Troy and Ms. Darbus the share a one-on-one where she reveals that she sent Juilliard an application in his name.

Ryan producing "Everyday" was the turning point in which he became not just a separate character from him and Sharpay, but also one of the most underrated. It's beautiful, and Zac and Vanessa really did it justice. It was also one of the first times that Zac effectively used his singing range.

"When There Was Me And You" is the first Gabriella-centric song and Vanessa's last solo to appear on here (though "Gotta Go My Own Way" fits the bill, Zac's parts make it a duet). It's one of the saddest parts of the first movie because it seemed like our star-crossed lovers were just forced apart by the forces of nature.

Lastly, we have Sharpay's version of "You Are The Music In Me". This is a reprise that features mostly Ashley and some Zac falsetto. Story-wise, it was more of Sharpay being overly excited and Troy looking scared as hell. It's one of the more comedic songs, so I'm glad it's achieved this position.

At least we've not been silly with "You Are The Music In Me" :')

Poor "When There Was Me And You", wish that was a bit higher. Not an absolute essential but it feels more emotional in this moment, RIP papa Hudgens

Good most of the crap is at the bottom, all of them below 20 all deserve their placings there!

That last section though, losing 3 of my top 10 as well as my #11  All For One is fun, Everyday is incredible, You Are The Music In Me Sharpay Version is one of the best of the entire franchise and is so fun, good and incredible

And When There Was Me And You out   My favourite of the entire franchise! Such a beautiful track that is so lovely  Wish it was higher but tbh I was expecting it to miss the top 20 completely so yay it didn't!
