"Work This Out" is the only song in the entire trilogy that features Jason, Zeke and Martha singing featured solos. The premise? This is Troy's motivational speech to the Wildcats after Mr. Fulton gives them some pretty strict rules (to Sharpay's commands). It's the perfect workout song if you're looking to jog or lift to HSM songs.

Next up is the original version of "You Are The Music In Me" led by e;soes74 and finishing off as a Troyella duet. Kelsi admits to writing a song for the couple after finding out about the talent show. That of course leads to Sharpay attempting to snatch the song in a power-hungry rage. This actually didn't finish that far away from the Sharpay version than I expected but it's still higher.

THE SONG THAT STARTED IT ALL. The beginning is sung by Zac Efron, with a mixture of his and Drew Seeley's voice for Troy following. WARNING: listening to this now will probably make you cry, considering that's how Troy and Gabriella met. Like I said, this was the spark that started the HSM chain reaction.

Speaking of introducing HSM dynamic duos, how about the Evans twins? "What I've Been Looking For" is supposedly their rework/arrangement of Kelsi's "Twinkle Town" musical audition song, and it's a lot more chipper than the ballad version. Complete with the overall over-dramatization of the entire performance and every single nuance thrown ("it's a crowd favorite, everybody loves a good jazz square), the twins prove that they have the charisma for center stage.

Then... there's "Bet On It". Gabriella quits, Troy finds out about the employees getting banned from the talent show, and the rest is history.

The ending to the HSM trilogy kicks off our top 10 of the countdown. Complete with allusions to the many memories in the HSM franchise, including Ryan being lifted by a bunch of guys, the human roller coaster in "What Time Is It?" and the final jumping shot of the main six that we've grown to love over the past ten years. I think everyone pretty much rated it in terms of how much it wrapped up the franchise, other than Harry who probably ranked it based on relevance. I will admit, it's not one of the most remembered of the movies, but what a way to go out.

Fun facts:

- This is the only number where Lucas Grabeel doesn't wear a hat through the entire number. The only other times he doesn't have a hat is during one part of "I Want It All" (he dons a blue headband instead), and after the Wildcats championships in HSM3, where he's revealed to be the school mascot for the year.

Only one ensemble number remains.
