NORM: Dion and Jones, together at last

Celine Dion and legendary producer Quincy Jones are teaming up for the first time.

Dion and Jones got together at the Palms recording studios on Tuesday for a special record.

They are collaborating on a song for a tribute CD to Italian composer Ennio Morricone, best known for scoring Clint Eastwood's classic spaghetti western "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly."

"It's the principal reason why we accepted, to work with Quincy," Dion's husband/manager Rene Angelil said.

Oscar-winning lyricists Alan and Marilyn Bergman have written the lyrics for the song, titled "I Knew I Loved You," which didn't have lyrics in director Sergio Leone's 1984 film "Once Upon a Time in America," starring Robert DeNiro and James Woods.

Nominated 16 times for Oscars, the Bergmans won Academy Awards in 1968, 1973 and 1984 for the songs, "The Windmills of Your Mind," "The Way We Were," and for the score for "Yentl."

An upcoming CD for Sony BMG will celebrate the haunting sound of Ennio Morricone's film scores (The Mission, Once Upon a Time in America) through the artistry of legends like Luciano Pavarotti, Yo-Yo Ma, Celine Dion, Quincy Jones, Sting and Roger Waters.

Carlini's skill at creating the synergy that brings musicians, venues and audiences together into projects that stir the imagination continues with his current plans to mount an all-star Tribute Concert to film composer legend, Ennio Morricone (Once Upon a Time in the West, A Fistful of Dollars, Once Upon a Time in America, The Mission). Some of the musical superstars already planned for participation in Morricone & Friends CD for Sony BMG, scheduled for release in '07 include Luciano Pavarotti, Sting, Roger Waters, Yo-Yo Ma, Celine Dion, Quincy Jones, Renee Fleming and Sarah Brightman.

Quincy is known for his Hit songs. This will be great.

I knew that

Personally I would love another duet with Anastacia (for obvious reasons )

And maybe with some younger singers like Christina Aguilera. That would be interesting. Oh and with Sting and Elton.
