Something really just doesn't add up. I'd love to know what happened and how it all went so wrong.

I really hope the terrible iTunes response to the video convinces the label to release the original because even outside of selfish reasons, I think it's borderline necessary. Maybe the original was "a bit much" but most of Britney's iconic moments were called "a bit much" at the time and it never hurt her then. She needs a video people will want to stream (the new one will do woefully for views) and a video that will get people interested. The reshoot is neither, the original is both.

I have to agree that the video isn't Britney's best, but it's pretty cute. It's giving me "I Luh Ya Papi" vibes (and that was such a good video) where the video "shoot" was more serious but the behind-the-scenes action with her girls is so fun and goofy. That said, calm your tits everybody, this ain't the "Radar" video.

 

If her team still has the original and there's a bunch of demand then they're gonna have to release it as an "explicit" version. This all feels like a preview of what's to come.

 

Glad she's doing such extensive promo compared to a few years ago where I barely saw much.

Yeah I'm the same. When Britney Jean was shit I was just like whatever, it was surprising and disappointing but I moved on. I moved on from 'Perfume' being dull as dishwater, too. The 'Make Me' video is legitimately an abomination though, and the album cover genuinely being a still frame from the video... *shudders*

 

I'm not sure I'll ever be able to hear the song without seeing/hearing the video.

I stopped the video after the first 90 seconds so I could quickly forget about it.

 

Imagine if the VMA performance was a recreation of the video, I would die..

It has been said by Rolling Stones magazine that the label is responsible for scrapping the original video.

original concept porn video would have been too much but it would definitely create a hype...a much needed hype that the song deserves.
