That's a shame. The song deserves better than this.

the UK charts are a joke nowadays so, who cares.

Really hoping for a US Hot 100 smash though

lol the US chart is just as stale. You're just bitter and you obviously care.

We were all expecting a 16-20 million AI drop from rolling!

That means it still gained over 4 million AI, it just didn't gain 15 million AI. (15 - 11 = 4)

It had a radio deal on its first day, which is why this is so harsh. People were expecting worse apparently.

As expected the rolling effect hit the song hard today, because of the radio deal last week, but it wasn't that bad. I was expecting -12/-13 million.

Last Friday she got 1535 spins (radio deal) and today's update shows -952 spins so that means "Make Me..." had 583 spins yesterday and that's the biggest spin update EVER since the first day. Slay a bit.

So technically it's still gaining and shoudl recover over the week, right?

Its not about being stale, its about songs not even being top10 in sales being #1 for 15 weeks. For me, its now irrelevant.

As stale as the US chart is, they've had decades of mastering a multi-based chart. Their formula is successful, the UK one isnt and needs tweaking.

Anyway, the rolling effect was smooth, and spins since then have been huge so it has kept its momentum, which is what is important.

Yes. Just don't expect 4-5 million gains. More stable updates. 2-3million Max daily gains until the video

It's back up a place to #23 though? Surely that's good. Is the '29' where it was this time last week?

daily peak is #21 (day before rolling effect)

yesterday she was no.24 so it's going up.. and no.29 was last weeks position.

some people are saying that they were expecting another negative update today, slower than yetsrdays around -2.000, but since it's positive it's good.. we'll see tmrrw

and sorry accidently has started writing in ur post, that's why is showing edited by me

It's good! Anything positive this week is good! PG stayed negative the first 5 days after the rolling effect. Work Bitch dropped for 4 days. Make Me is gaining again after just one day of suffering from the rolling effect!

I really wish she would call in to some radio shows and capitalize on the revitalized interest in her from radio...

Also, she has dethroned Sia's Cheap Thrills for the top song on top 40 on http://ratethemusic.com

This is a site used by American radio to get feed back on what to play! If you haven't done it yet make an account and put your favorite genre as top 40. Rate 'Make Me' as "I like it a lot" and that you are NOT tired of hearing it.

Flattered at you picking me of all people! I will try to be helpful. I MAY have messed up on day 1 but I'm pretty certain this is the comprehensive listing of her daily audiences to date:

Day 1: 15.564m

Day 2: 3.581m

Day 3: 3.166m

Day 4: 2.885m

Day 5: 2.950m

Day 6: 3.680m

Day 7: 3.185m

Day 8: 3.241m

Day 9: 3.974m

Today was actually Brit's biggest audience yet not involving a radio deal. She only managed (+ 0.383) because the day she was rolling from was day 2, which had one of her biggest audiences yet (3.581m). If Brit gets the exact same audience tomorrow as she got today, her update will be (+ 0.808), which looks a lot better. As long as her audience doesn't outright drop, she should see pretty big updates all the way until day 13 (which will be compared to her second biggest first week day), and from then on it's impossible to guess what'll happen without having an idea of how much the song will build.

As you can tell from the list, her audience is growing slowly and it's a little bit more variable than we'd ideally like. However, just the fact that 'Make Me' at this point is being heard by more people than it was this time last week is good. It means this isn't just another "Britney hype goes crazy and then nobody likes the song" release. As Tyler noted, both 'Work Bitch' and 'Pretty Girls' actually received less airplay for the majority of their second weeks than they did in their first weeks.

I'll update this list every day I remember because it's a pretty clean way to see where the momentum is going, especially in the first rolling week which always creates so much confusion.

I forgot to add but I personally am a lot more worried about the Spotify progress of this song than the radio progress. First week of rolling always dampens a song but I can't figure out why it's suddenly dropping on Spotify like this as I don't analyse it enough to know of any relevant patterns - all I can imagine is it's gotten less promo via playlists on there. Really need it to pick up on iTunes too.

Thanks for the info Umi. I really hope she can make it into the top 20 on pop this week. My American friend said it's only really when a song gets into the top 20 that you noticeably start hearing it on the radio as a causal listener.

Yeah looking at Spotify from a UK's point of view, once a song makes the top 50 for that country it has a huge boost and stays there for ages until people are really sick of it. Obviously it's not the same in the US, as it only spent 3/4 days in there after making it as high as #40. It's still right at the very bottom of the main US pop playlist (Today's Top hits). In the UK we have the weekend effect that sees a significant drop in newer songs while older hits rise. And then newer songs rise from Monday. I wonder if the same thing happens in the US?
