February 14, 20169 yr It Follows I expect! Saw it picking up a few votes along the way but didn't expect it to get in on the last day, not seen it because I'm too much of a scaredy pants! (Scouts Guide was my fav horror of last year and it'll probs be Pride & Prejudice & Zombies this year )
February 14, 20169 yr Author BEST PICTURE NOMINEE #11- IT FOLLOWS http://i68.tinypic.com/28klc0j.jpg Full List Of Nominees: - Avengers: Age Of Ultron - Big Hero 6 - Brooklyn - Inside Out - It Follows - Kingsman: The Secret Service - Mad Max: Fury Road - Room - Spy - Star Wars: The Force Awakens - The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 The only movie I've not seen on the list but happy it got in as it was a really inspired choice! Shocked the likes of Carol, The Martian and Joy missed out considering how well they did elsewhere. The films that just missed out: Ex_Machina, Trainwreck, The Martian, The Duff, Pitch Perfect 2, Home, Jurassic World (Home and Jurassic World were nowhere near close until the last day when both made massive surges but it was too late for both!) Thanks for everyone who has followed and commented  Nomination tally coming in a few minutes and voting thread will be up soon :)
February 14, 20169 yr Avengers was excellent, such good visuals and not a dull moment. Not sure why 90% of the Internet hate it for not being dark enough, not sure what they were expecting but it was so much fun to watch and I thought Ultron was quite an interesting villain due to his power set. This x100! It's brilliant and pretty much what a sequel should be imo. Soooo good. All those questioning how 'Avengers' got in and supporting 'Spy'??? Also I'm gonna guess 'The Boy Next Door' is the surprise final nominee. I should get around to watching it, but it just looks so bad! Out of those choices 'It Follows' deserves it most. But I'd rather we switched either of those for 'Ex-Machina' :( Edit. Ohhhh! Thats a good and inspired choice tbf.

Not sure why 90% of the Internet hate it for not being dark enough, not sure what they were expecting but it was so much fun to watch and I thought Ultron was quite an interesting villain due to his power set. The source material is a fair bit darker, I guess people wanted it to be more reflective of that? I was pretty happy with it all, expect Scarlet Witch's f***e dup power set
February 14, 20169 yr Never seen any of those horrors except Unfriended (which I REALLY enjoyed), I may try watch one of those today though :kink:

I was pretty happy with it all, expect Scarlet Witch's f***e dup power set  I suppose but would be unusual for Marvel to change what's made them so popular and I really loved all the fun of it, probably more so than the first Avengers due to all the new characters!
February 14, 20169 yr Author Never seen any of those horrors except Unfriended (which I REALLY enjoyed), I may try watch one of those today though :kink: We should watch It Follows some point on Rabbit over the next week! (Though probably not that one today as not too sure if I can turn up today!)

I guess so, if people want dark Marvel movies, go see X-men Days of Future Past  Avengers is meant to be big bold fun action.
February 14, 20169 yr It Follows is fantastic, great horror films that rely on subtle yet terrifying horror and minimal gore like that are very rare these days so it deserves that nom for Best Picture.
February 14, 20169 yr We should watch It Follows some point on Rabbit over the next week! (Though probably not that one today as not too sure if I can turn up today!) oh yes please, can we make sure to organise that
