Anyone up for some CLIPS?

Well they all seem at least enjoyable, but I'm really looking forward to the Oscar Zia and Lisa Ajax full songs/perfs.

And the After Dark lyrics are amazing, Lady Gagalicious, Beyoncé eller Cher? *.*

PREDICTIONS

DTG: Oscar Zia, Lisa Ajax

AC: Swingfly, SMILO

5th: After Dark

6th: SaRaha

7th: Boris René

Please be the heat where I find multiple songs to love and take away for the ages. It hasn't been bad but it's still very much like much of last year in the 7/10 niceness sort of way.

Fortunately, unless I'm just desperate, those clips sound good, Saraha (always always ALWAYS up for an African bop), and Swingfly sound potentially good for that. After Dark sounds potentially incredibly catchy, and at least it sounds like Oscar Zia's finally discovered his voice from somewhere even if I probably will be willing him out as I normally do.

Zara Larsson and AviciiKygo-boyband (seriously no one tell Joseph) sound a lot less innovative but I suspect I'll shamefully enjoy the latter in full and I mean, at least Lisa's singing very competently.

PLEASE can Boris Rene be a cringey song for the ages, it sounds like an utterly TERRIBLE song and he looks very awkward on stage. I've been missing those as well.

same here. like all of it.

lisa's song seems to have a lot of potential from that snippet <3

Smilo & Oscar Zia seem like the standout 2 songs to go DTF from this heat, going by that. Lisa DOESN'T sound competent to these ears, she sounds flat and disinterested in her song. Sahara's is just odd, not even a hot mess like Aleo, it just sounds... a mess. Swingfly feels like a bit of a Me & My Drum retread but weaker, After Dark sounds tragic and Boris sounds rather cringy.

Not sounding like a particularly strong weak but it seems somewhat fun.

Only 5 posts in here so far this week WHAT THE HELL

Anyway genrep results from tonight are, surprising to say the least!

1. SaRaha – 235 röster – 39,1 %

2. Oscar Zia – Humans – 159 röster – 26,5 %

3. Lisa Ajax – My Heart Wants My Dead – 73 röster – 12,1 %

4. Swingfly feat. Helena Gutarra – You Carvd Your Name - 48 röster – 8 %

5. Boris René – Put Your Love On Me – 40 röster – 6,6%

6. SMILO – Weight of the World – 29 röster – 4,8%

7. After Dark – Kom ut som en stjärna – 16 röster – 3 %

Oh gosh! Get them Saraha. Definitely the one in this heat I'm most excited to hear the full version of.

ugh i will be missing this heat as well tonight as we work today and there's a partay :'(

mind you, i still haven't seen the heat 2 oopsies #flopfan

You can tell by those genrep results this is the weakest Deltävling

Yes, this heat is really doing nothing for me, probably my least favourite heat in years.

I know we have the Week 4 clips already, but based on the first two weeks and the rehearsal clips for this week, I don't think we've actually found our winner yet.. If Heat 4 isn't going to deliver, I think I'm going to throw my support behind Wiktoria.

A worse heat than the entirely forgettable first one? I really doubt that's going to be the case. I'm actually really excited for many songs from here.

Heat 3 is almost always the strongest one for me.

I have no idea what everyone's on about - off the clips this is probably the strongest heat for me since the fabled heat 4 of 2009 *.*
omg yaasss Lisa serving us Survivor teas with a middle Eastern flavour *.*

Praise Carola, what a brilliant heat!

SaRaha - Kizunguzungu 8/10 Well this is just a big bundle of FUN! I'm still amazed at how well it did in the genrep as I had this down as 5th place at best, but it will definitely går vidare I think.

Swingfly ft. Helena Gutarra - You Carved Your Name 7/10 It's not QUITE as amazing as 'Me & My Drum' but it's a solid follow-up, love Helena Gutarra anyway.

SMILO - Weight Of The World 8/10 Easily the best wildcard entrant and it'd be nice for them to FINALLY progress out of the heats.

After Dark - Kom ut som en stjärna 7/10 I know this is going to be everyone's cup of tea and 'La Dolce Vita' it is NOT, but all the same, exactly the sort of thing I expect and love from an After Dark MF entry.

Lisa Ajax - My Heart Wants Me Dead 9/10 By far her best single yet, I just feel the staging is what's going to let this down from going direkt.

Boris René - Put Your Love On Me 6/10 I like this but in the context of this heat, it's the weakest. This is one of the songs I'll probably rediscover and end up loving more and more in October.

Oscar Zia - Human 9/10 What a great song from Oscar, again his best single so far. Should easily go direkt but I don't think it's a winning song.

Revised Predictions

DTG: Oscar Zia, SaRaha (can't ignore those genrep results!)

AC: Lisa Ajax, SMILO

5th: Swingfly ft. Helena Gutarra

6th: Boris René

7th: After Dark

Oh thank god this heat is delivering. Really feel like there are songs here I can get on board with.

Those being firstly SaRaHa (as I was expecting from the clip), I can understand the genrep result after that, it sounds quirky, a very fun pop song, the afro-vibes are very much appreciated (like, this is what I love seeing pop do, appropriate world music sounds and incorporate it into a catchy package), and hopefully it'll be a good stage show. Would love to see it progress in some form.

But also, After Dark sounds incredible!! I wasn't sure what to expect from him and I didn't notice the clip much but in full that's a beast of a tune.

I'll also be very much on board with Swingfly and Smilo after listening through those. Not so big on the other three (with Lisa the most acceptable, although yes, Oscar does have his best song here) although going on later they're almost certain to mess up one of my top 4.

Omg I don't even know where to START ordering this HEAT OF LIFE

01 - After Dark - Kom ut som en stjärna - OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD

This is like After Dark saw Charlotte last week and decided SHE was the woman to take up the sword and save schlager's honour, and SHE WAS RIGHT. I haven't been struck with so much IMMEDIATE RELIGIOUS SCHLAGER JOY since I first heard the Swedish House Wives chorus. I'm actually crying a little bit at how good this is. This MUST NOT FAIL!

02 - SMILO - Weight of the World - I think this could be the first ever Svensktoppennästa entry to qualify. The instrumental chorus hook sends me to a level of ecstatic 'start crying and call all your friends' joy I haven't felt since Survivor made it through AC so naturally this can only end well

03 - Lisa Ajax - My Heart Wants Me Dead - the production on this is SO GOOD. Miley Cyrus does EKO - Red isn't a vibe I ever realised I needed but this is no Amanda Fondell moment at all. HOW IS THIS HEAT SO GOOD, WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO US CHRISTER

04 - SaRaha - Kizunguzungu - okay it's basically Haba Haba and Waka Waka thrown in a blender but I'd be lying if I said that formula didn't work for me before, or if I tried to pretend that my heart wasn't FILLED WITH SONG AND LIGHT by the snatch of that key change at the end *.*

05 - Oscar Zia - Human - This was a pretty standard 80s electro power ballad but then it switched it up for the second verse and I'm on board. This is so much better than anything by someone who sang 'Gods and Kings has made this plan, To the no, we go' with a straight face has any right to be but I'm not complaining at all *.*

06 - Swingfly ft. Heléne - You Carved Your Name - 'Have you got another Robyn demo, the last one didn't work out so well

07 - Boris René - Put Your Love On Me - this is the track Guy Sebastian should've entered with. This track is constructed in such an interesting way - the first thirty seconds is like an extended intro where you think the song hasn't really begun yet, then BAM you're into a chorus line that's really more of a bridge for that killer 'YEAH, YEAH' post-chorus/actual hook here. For a really simple track this is strangely compelling, but I think it has to be last by default compared with how shit-the-commode terrific everything else in here is.

It literally pains me that all 7 of these are better than the 2 direkt qualifiers last week (well, ALL of last week! Isa excepted)
