August 18, 20168 yr Oh my god you're mess vixen, go to take a nap please  I already did that's why I missed the whole listening party you guys had <_< :( But it's alright, because I've been brought back to life by Mollie
August 18, 20168 yr Well when I heard Mollie was trying a solo career I thought she'd do a "Sarah Harding" and release a mess like 'Threads' that had no chance of going anywhere (sorry Joseph :)) But I have to say this is potentially the pop surprise of the entire year, I am absolutely shocked at how this good is. The chorus reminds me of a less annoying 'On My Mind' and in parts she reminds me of Tove Lo. This really is fantastic, I can't wait to see the music video which looks amazing too. It's 3 minutes long as well which is the perfect pop song length, if only she'd submitted it for Eurovision!!!!!11
August 18, 20168 yr Anyone else hearing aspects of Missing You? Hmmm...Back To You has better vocals, better melody, better chorus, better everything really. There are similarities in the production, though. Just slightly. The production behind the chorus to 'Missing You' is essentially an "on-crack" version of the production of Back To You's chorus. Otherwise, it's not really similar. I feel like people comparing it to 'On My Mind' (especially with that ad-lib and the sort of double-chorus) or something Astrid S/Florrie would release are MUCH more spot on.
August 18, 20168 yr Oh the one thing Missing You has over 'Back To You' > BETTER LYRICS. But even then there's nothing wrong with the lyrics to 'Back To You', 'Missing You' is just a really well written pop song (in terms of lyrics/words/message) despite the fact it has no hook whatsoever.
August 18, 20168 yr Dan Wotton is going to Lorraine tomorrow to promote Mollie, mollie having everyone bowing to her.
August 18, 20168 yr Can hear the "On My Mind" comparison (and agreed with Ryan that this is less annoying). I think it's fine at best, the chorus is too weak and repetitive. I'm not here for it.
August 18, 20168 yr I hear the Missing You comparisons, the On My Mind comparisons, and the Hurts So Good comparisons. I'm hoping she can get some of her celeb friends to plug this on social media tomorrow. Hopefully a member of 1D, Ellie Goulding, or someone with an equally high profile.
August 18, 20168 yr Mollie's ad-libs are similar to Ellie's on On My Mind. But I don't hear the Missing You comparison, luckily.
August 18, 20168 yr Author Can hear the "On My Mind" comparison (and agreed with Ryan that this is less annoying). I think it's fine at best, the chorus is too weak and repetitive. I'm not here for it. Couldn't agree more! YES MOLLIE! Literally the most excited I've been for solo music from the girls - the "over and over" bit is my favourite
August 18, 20168 yr Author Scrap that last I love the "going through hell" lyric too, oh Mollie
August 18, 20168 yr Ya'll need to not meltdown if this misses the top 50 this week. It's VERY common for tracks to do this in week one now (Unless you're like Bieber). The way the charts work are a lot different even since What are you Waiting For was released.
August 18, 20168 yr Scrap that last I love the "going through hell" lyric too, oh Mollie  YASSSS!
August 18, 20168 yr Author YASSSS! I have a new favourite bit on every listen! As I said in the Vanessa thread, chart position doesn't matter to be its just a bonus. The fact we are getting solo Sats music is so much more important
