Apparently there's a SCANDAL brewing as Frans called Gina a 'fucking bitch' in one of the interlude segments as she tricked him into thinking Zlatan Ibrahimovic (the footballer he got famous doing a novelty tribute track for when he was 7) had a message for him. Hope this ruins the simpering little dickhead TO BE QUITE HONEST

I WILL DESTROY HIM.

(also yay can it please)

The final line-up is so good except for Frans and I will be so disappointed if he wins when the other 7 finalists are all 9/10 moments at least. His voice is irritating, from what I've read about him he seems potentially arrogant and unlikeable and the song is just dull. I really hope the international juries sink him as otherwise he's going to win isn't he? :(

Not convinced it'd do anything at Eurovision either, can see it being one of those songs that get hype just because it's Sweden and a bit different but ultimately finishes bottom 10.

Oh I wish that were the case, but it'd get hype even if it were from San Marino. It fits in so much with exactly what's big now without directly ripping off any of the tracks that have made up that vibe.

He IS arrogant and unlikeable but that isn't really going to bleed through much from a 3 minute performance when he's playing the role of anything BUT. Not to mention that his target audience isn't exactly RENOWNED as a demographic well attuned to seeing through FAUX-SINCERITY

~oooh he's so sweet he has feelings!!!!~

If Sweden sends Frans I shall seriously be considering changing my vote to leave the European Union.

Top 4 are all <3 <3 <3 <3 Any of those winning would make Sweden top my rankings so far. I really like the top 8 or so though! The likely winner of Frans will be the first time since I started watching that Sweden are at the bottom :/

Frans is the only one to make the Spotify top 50 in Sweden so far and is number 1 on iTunes by some distance.
Just throwing it out there... I think Frans will win MelFest and then probably Eurovision. I hope I'm complete,y wrong on both fronts though!

The only thing I'm sure of tho is that ace is number one and victor och f***ing natten is last place as its one of the worst mf songs ever! Vomvomvom

Yeah I'm starting to get that feeling about Frans as well :/ It's the in sound right now, just done horrendously badly but since when did that stop people liking songs? None of the songs revealed as entries so far sound like winners either, the only one I get a vague feeling about is Ukraine, it does obviously depend what else comes up of course and really nobody would have said that Conchita would win at this point in 2014 either, so you never know really.
If Sweden wants to avoid winning twice in a row, they should go with Frans.

You know I don't think that would work.

After Robin, it probably is the most winner-ish sounding song, for better or for worse.

I think to not win but get a solid placing, Molly is a good winner. That and she's the best song  But it sounds like a solid top 5 but not a winner. To be honest though I think a good deal of the finalists we already have are at least Eurovision top 10s. Most countries would kill for My Heart Wants Me Dead for example, it's a shame the amount of brilliant potential entries that miss out because Sweden can obviously only have one entry.

Of course Frans is doing the best on iTunes, Spotify and YouTube of the finalists but couldn't he be a similar case to Samir & Viktor in regards to why they are so high? I was wondering yesterday why Samir & Viktor do so well on these platforms yet it doesn't translate into votes, and I guess Frans appeals to the same demographic - could it not just be that this demographic is a very active one, yet in the context of a final wouldn't get the votes from the other demographics which would put him under pressure?

Anyway when I listen to the song without the performance it does grow on you, but still one of the weakest in a very strong final.

Molly is doing very nicely it seems, but I think the big contender is now proving to be Robin who has managed to do well on all platforms despite the 3 week break!

There's a lot of frontrunners this year compared to the usual two or three so I think it may come down to what the juries do, if they all go for one song like they did with Robin in 2013.

Unless of course they all go for Frans in which case it's game over.
